OMG.... you guys.... *stretch* I am on vacation and it feels so freaking good. Since school let out last week I've been very busy with rehearsals and performances, BUT.... no studying, no memorizing songs yet....... nothing. I go to bed late and sleep in late . It's pretty friggin' awesome.

Today I gotta start memorizing my stuff for next semester, but..... meh. I ain't worried.

The end of a semester usually sees a surge of people here, doesn't it? I'm so excited about Christmas! Today is my last day of work until next year and I'm going out to eat with my family and fiance and friends tonight and then tomorrow is Christmas Eve and we're going to my grandma's house and then the next day is Christmas and that's wonderful and then after that, I have a week of vacation (albeit unpaid) and YAY!

Anyone for some yay with me?

UK is nice! I haven't been there for two years - I hope I can afford it again soon (currently I can't afford the time or the money ...)

Midge - yay!

Woo hoo! It's not even Christmas and I'm SO happy. Geez... My fiance got me some beautiful diamond earrings (a LOT of diamond jewelry this season ) and I'm so excited! Note: It doesn't even really matter what he got me, though! I love giving him gifts and getting his gifts! It's a great thing to be in love!

And I just noticed I passed my 2,000 post mark recently! Go me!

OMG, you guys... This iPod Touch is the greatest thing ever. Not only can I look at my sheet music, listen to my music, surf the net at school, check my e-mail, and keep on top of my schedule...... there are so many AWESOME free games, applications, and just generally COOL STUFF for it!!!!! This was truly the greatest purchase ever .

One of the neat things is an application for those interactive stories. I downloaded a bunch and they're fun to pull out and play for a few minutes. Very immersive!

I've also been downloading stuff (like Earniel's short stories) that I can pull out and enjoy whenever I feel like reading for a few minutes. It's awesome.

*thinks that Tess would have no problems getting a job in advertisement should singing not work out*

Hehe, glad you're happy with it.

Hehe, all the Christmas presents you've received must've seemed grey in comparison

Sounds like fun, Tessar, but can you iPod croak? Because my Christmas pressie does. (My dad got me a 'welcoming frog', a ceramic one that croaks when you walk past it, or for some reason, when you turn off the lights.)

Also, the complete Cadfael series on DVD, woohoo!

My nieces each got a ceramic bird with the same properties. They twittered for the entire Christmas Day

Tessar, you need to download a croak sound application!

Today was a good winter's day. For the first time, I tried out some genuine Nordic skates on a frozen lake with a friend. I found the skating-experience much more enjoyable than ice-skating in some park on normal skates. It's like comparing a three-course-dinner to a hot dog

That sounds awesome! I'm glad you got to do that . What the heck are Nordic skates, though?

Are the Nordic skates for speed skating as opposed to figure skating?

I agree. I *love* the complexity of it, the way it goes beyond simply 'good' and 'evil' choices. And it's so story-driven. (I won't say any more since I don't know how far you've played and want to avoid accidental spoilers, but just - awesome! )

I guess you'd call them langskøyter
They're for speed skating yes, and very different from what you wear for figure skating, ice-hockey and whatnot.
