Yes, the war is over! It ended a couple pages ago with the elves signing the peace treaty. I think the two great nations are quite freindly now, since both sides have agreed to keep their noses level.

That is true. Mirkwood declared war after their embassador ran into the doorframe. All in all, it was a pretty good war for both sides. Not many lives lost and an agreeable outcome for both sides.
