Anyway, I love nudity, there's nothing wrong with it, but I have to say without getting graphic that I feel more comfortable with panties on. Other than that, I can take or leave the clothes, but obviously I don't walk around naked. It's too bad, I've said before, that women can't go topless, because there've been hot days that I've wanted to!
I agree with GW, that it boils down to the intent of the nudness: is it for natural or artistic reasons, or is it intended for pornagraphic purposes? I don't agree with the latter.
Here in FL there are sevaral nudey camps, but although I like being naked, I think it's odd to go somewhere just to be naked (no offense Baby K, it's just my initial thought when I saw ads for the places). I would prefer just to be naked around my house. I also guess I've been so conditioned that I would be uncomfortable to say, be nude around my dad or brother, or have them nude around me. But otherwise there's nothing wrong with the way we are without clothes -- that was the original plan!

The human body is good at keeping cool, but not at keeping warm, so of course we need to wear clothes in the winter!

Social conditioning aside, I think I would feel rather odd walking around naked, and picking up debri from certain places. I know what you mean about panties! I think if I were to go nude in public, panties would definately be a must - not because of modesty, but for hygiene; I'm sure I don't need to go into detail here. Other than that, if I don't have to work, and the weather's hot, then living in a nice private apartment comes in handy: I hardly ever get dressed if I don't have too. It's great, cos it's so comfortable. And it comes in handy when you're cleaning the house, cos you can just jump straight in the shower afterwards. If it's not so warm, then I'll just wear panties and a shirt. Of course my mother is coming over today, so I have to put pants on.

I have to say, nudity is certainly more comfortable than clothes, most of the time! Except when clothes provide protection, from the weather, from sharp things, etc, etc.

In Africa, women wore not tops and many people didn't wear anything. So when he returned to Canada it was very strange for him. One day his friend told him to meet him under a bridge. Going outside in the middle of winter in Maine (where I live) naked... that wouldn't be very fun at all. I walked to school in -7 degree weather this winter, and imagine being naked in that!!

I actually did the polar bear club when i was a kid going to camp in maine. 6 in the morning. butt naked in a freezing cold lake. 4 laps and dive off the diving board!! BRRR!!! ah but it felt so good after though. course this was in summer....

Yeah. So many camps in Maine. Yet the only time I've gone skinny-dipping is in Michigan... This summer I'm going to a 3 1/2 week sleepaway music camp, and that should be fun.

Anyways, did you know that during the winter here in Maine, there are some people who annually go into the freezing cold ocean waters wearing nothing (or if anything a speedo). To do that you've got to have guts, and a good resistance against cold.

No offense taken - but this is exactly the sort of mistake people make when they think of naturism. We don't go there just to get naked (I can get naked anywhere I like) - we enjoy being in the wild & experiencing nature in the most natural way. Besides the ads you saw must have been for the nudist places that tend to support the stereotypes - for some reason some people get a kick out of others thinking that it's wrong or whatever (like kids getting a kick out of shocking their parents)

People often assume that we are a bunch of swingers etc - nope, wrong again, as I said before after a while you don't even notice who's naked & who isn't.

I suppose there are different types of naturists in this world - we like to think of ourselves as purist naturists, we don't do it for the show or as a fad. There are some people who do, just for the sake of saying that they are nudists (those are nudists NOT naturists).

BTW - as far as taking a walk in the bush (IR stop snickering, it wasn't meant as a sexual pun) with no clothes on (ok IR, you may keep on snickering, it is quite funny) - we do take towels etc with us (we aren't stupid ye know), besides it's quite nice to be able to just dive into a pool in the valley when yer hot.

People do that here - but they're not naked, they wear a speedo. It's an annual thing on New Years day.
