I basically just figured Aldarion was a jerk ... why marry a woman if you know you're going to make her miserable? She did tell him that she didn't want to share him with the sea. Of course, then she married him, so that isn't particularly intelligent either. Humans. It's much better to be a Hobbit ...

My sentiments exactly, both were at fault. Humans it's much better to be an Elf.

talking form Elf to Elf: Humans are weak and dumb .... (Glad that they don't live at the Grey Havens).
But I think that Aldarion was worse, because even if he told her and she still married him, maybe Erendis thought that he would change.

What a mistake... light bulbs change, time changes, but people do not change, people can not change. She was a fool for thinking he would change and he was a fool for thinking that his running off all the time would be quite all right for her.

Agreed, people do seldom change.

In a way I can understand Aldarion.
The sea doesn't get angry at you for being late, drunk or loose your wallet, or nag at you to go out with the garbage, etc

You have obviously never been a Sea Elf. If you're drunk on a ship, chances are you will fall off the ship and be devoured by the Sea... Ulmo has no pity for drunks. If you loose your wallet, it's gone, forever... you don't get it back. If you launch late, and a storm is coming... well, you are screwed. The Sea is very demanding and if you live by the Sea it will control every aspect of your life and how you live it. *Ruinel speaks from experience.*

Besides, why would you have to be nagged to take out your own garbage. *Ruinel never nags about such trivial things... if trash doesn't get put out she takes it out herself... no biggie.*

Yeah, just wanted to say that sea can easily KILL you. And you won't be able to have children with the sea (I'm just describing the missing thing which you all know is necessary for having children.)

Just don't mind, play the game. Think like an elf and Ruinel will be your best friend.

O no, I would never presume to think I was capable of thinking like an Elf.

Neither do I, but as there are no elves, nobody is able to say that your elf-thinking is wrong.

Unsure why you would think I was "schitzo". I'm just making comments about the Sea.

Lalaith: I am an Elf.
Oh, yeah, btw... I read between the lines on that post about "making children". You're right, if anyone catches you "begetting" with the Sea you can be put in a special jacket where the arms buckle in the back. I've heard it done before (not the begetting part, ewwww).

I meant about you referring to yourself in the third person.

If I put astericks around it, I'm thinking or doing something. *is unsure what GW means about this "double post" thing * Besides Ruinel is the Queen of Eryn Vorn and it is proper for us to speak in third party and plural. *laughs hysterically*

As your name is Elvish, I presume that Ruinel is an Elvish queen. But I don't believe I ever heard of any Elvish monarchs/rulers/kings/queens using the plural. And I don't believe monarchs in general use third person.

And double-posting means when you accidentally post something twice, instead of once.

Did I do that? I didn't see it... never mind.

My name is Elvish, yes, I am an Elvish Queen. I give my self permission to use third party, plural. lol Oh, wait...ahem... Our name is Elvish, yes, we are an Elvish Queen. lol

Hope it doesn't bother you too much *imagines the expression on GW's face with his panties in a twist over something so trivial* roflol. Ok, Ok... sorry. If you look at my profile, I am a born smart ass and it couldn't be helped. Forgive?

Actually, I was the one who double-posted. When I saw the second post, I editted it so that it said double-post.

No, doesn't bother me.
