perhaps the body fading into stone is the body fading into a shot of the sarcophegus (you know, like the picture in your history book of hte tomb of henry iv, or whichever henry killed thomas a beckett of canterbury)

That's a good idea Crickhollow! I never thought of that. Yeh, I remember in my history textbooks how they used to have a model of the body on top of the coffin or whatever... I hope it's just a fade-in image of that.

I've written a t-shirt saying, don't tell the elf, on it
Its not my fault i have a gutter mind, you cant live in england at my age without finding it just a little amusing because of different meanings.
The question is, how did orlando not giggle through this scene, and did he warn PJ as to how the line would be taken?

Its not just Orlando, can you see Sir McKellen not chuckling his way through it?

Perhaps, PJ did listen and left it in for the laughs for us.

That was sweet of him.

Well, I have you people to thank that whenever I see the movie now I'll have to snigger wickedly, and then conceal the fact from my mother... in America toss just means toss too, but it's pretty easy to tell what you're all talking about! PG-13, ha!!

I'm still not quite sure on what exactly it means, though the connotations are pretty durn obvious.

I suppose, since I started this thread, I should be the one to give a meaning to the word toss (or one of the meanings). This is from the dictionary (so don't blame me). I've spoilered it out, so don't highlight if you don't want to:
From the Macquarie Dictionary: (of a male) to masturbate.
