I know a few phrases of Yankee dutch, snatches of poetry and old songs that my grandma taught me. I mean to learn speak Flemish (since you prefer ) "for reals" some day...

Earniel, what does "smelopf" (sp?) mean?

To Kyote Fields:The first one is correct. I'm pleasantly surprised, I must say! The second one is regretably wrong, it should be: "Je hebt een lekker kontje"

To crickhollow: The language is normally Dutch. But the Belgian 'dialect' is Flemish which differs in some words and sounds from the 'dialect' from the Netherlands. So since I'm Belgian (and rather proud of it) I prefer to call it Flemish but I have to use Dutch most of the time since very little people abroad know the name Flemish. Kind of complicated huh? I'm afraid to say that 'smelopf' is no dutch or flemish word I'm familiar with. It might be an old Dutch word or a dialect form. Sorry

Where did you go in Switzerland? Oops, I mean . . . Ou es-tu alle a la Suisse? J'ai famille la-bas. Mon grand-pere habite a la partie allemande de la Suisse.

I'm not even gonna try this one in French. I went to Lausanne, west side, of course, French side. What city does he live in cause I visited alot of cities while I was there. I liked Luzerne (?) best. Beautiful rivers and architecture.
And again I ask Combien de langue est que tu peux parle?

Would you believe Middle Egyptian Hieroglyphics? I did it for 3 years. But I was more interested in archaeology, so I had to drop it

Bonjour
Au Revoir
Voulez vou couche (just kidding, just kidding) avec moi? Se sou?

Je parle en francais. A little. I'm 3/4 of the way through my first year of French. I also speak fluent pig-latin (ig-pay atin-lay) The little bit of German I know came from Wolfenstein 3-D and Rammstein. Sad, huh?

La vie est une plage! That's the edited version my teacher taught us. Say it in English and you'll understand.

I'm not sure, I'll have to ask my mom. Sorry, I didn't see your question before! Je parle trois langues (anglais, allemand, francais) et un peu de Hungarian.

I'm learning Hungarian for an exchange program next year. It is a w e i r d! language! Not even remotely related to any other except Finnish.

Frodo friend - as I am saying everwhere, you should try Lithuanian. It is more weird, and also completely unrelated to anything except Latvian and a very little bit to Russian.

It is Afrikaans, although I have my doubts about the grammatical soundness of that sentence...

Obviously english - though sometimes not very well!
French, okay, i stopped studying it last year so have probably 4gotten most of it unless provoked with a qu.
I can say a few words of Italian and Quenya but i can read a lot of Hieroglyphics now. Still learning. Though you can't really speak that because it hasn't been a spoken lang for thousands of years.

P.S. YAY! 100 posts!!!!
