She does get a few good lines though I always get the feeling if we could understand chewie he would take all.

So looking up their pictures does what exactly for the music?

Nothing, I'm just trying to show you that not all opera singers are "hefty"...

Oh well yeah. I think there going to be some kind of chrismasy opera-ish thing at my college I may go to it.

Wow look at the turns the Eragon Movie thread has taken.

No kidding. I think that they should have waited for the third book to come out before they made the movie. They are in to big of a hurry.

They are advertising it as the "first installment of the Inheritance Trilogy" When I saw/heard that I was like "Wait a minute, there's only two!"

Bleah!! They killed it! Arya is not supposed to be a blonde poster girl for bavaria. She is NOT the St Pauli's girl of elves. I thought she looked more spanish from her descriptions in the book. What is it with these movie makers. First the rasta-white-witch in dreads now Bavaria Girl in Eragon. Gyeah....

They killed it in my opinion.

Ok. I am trying to figure out, from what you said, how Arya looked. I got the impression that she had blonde hair in the movie. The book said she had black. Is that what you mean?

Arya's hair looked red to me.

Oh yeah, I saw it on Wednesday. I like the book far better. I think the movie was a little bit face paced with very little pauses. A quarter way through the film I quit comparing it to the book because of the changes. It was still good, IMO

BTW, ayra, I've been meaning to ask you, is your name derived from Arya's?

Yes, Arya had dark features and more olive toned skin from what I gathered in the book. Very exotic. But to me in the trailers she resembled the White Witch gone natural with a slightly better hair style.

I saw the movie. Usually, I'm a b**** about a book turned movie and I'll rave for weeks about how much the movie sucked, but I didn't with this movie. It was nothing like the book( 'specially Angela) but I didn't hate it. It made a good (or an ok movie...depends on what you think) movie in and of itself. I cannot say the same for the book.
The book was an ok read, I suppose...probably better for someone a bit younger than most of the Mooters but it wasn't horrendous.

My biggest complaint with this movie (all movies really) is the dragon. A movie will almost never portray a dragon the way an author describes it. Example. In Harry Potter, the dragon walked on two hind legs and had wings resembling a bat with the clawed hand like attachment. It was what almost everyone calls a wyern. The thing with this dragon was that it had feathered, not webbed, wings. Anyway, I think it's just a pet peeve I have...I suppose a feather winged dragon does look better on screen. *shrug*

Yes, it is, I kinda liked the name. I like elves in general. At least the ones in The Lord of the Rings and Eregon. Not the fairy kind...

I finally saw it. I tried not to compare the movie with the book, and that helped. They ruined a lot of characters, and left out a lot too. Pretty much the best thing about it was that it made me like the book more. Everything I thought was bad about the book they made even more ridiculous in the movie.
