LOL!! Ah, well; all's well that ends well. The Moot has been (temporarily, anyway) made safe for the squirrels of middle-universe.

yyyes, I'd say so . Curubethion will never believe what events his squirrel experimentation suggestion spawned.

I saw my squirrel. A couple hours ago when I was coming back from the store in my car, pumping an amazing NaS song on my car stereo, I pulled into my spot to park, and my little squirrel neighbor was in the carport! He tentavely freaked out, the way only squirrels can do - that sort of jerky-tail squirrel thing, and he was frantically assessing the carport for a quick way out. I don't know if it was the NaS that was aggravating him, or the sound of my car's engine! Anyway, he finds no other swifter exit but to scale - yes, SCALE - the concrete wall of the carport, to the ledge on top, where he could relax and survey me from an advantageous perspective. I had no idea squirrels could scale walls like that. It was so freakin' funny, I had to pause the parking job just to watch what he'd do next! Now he's in the porch-yard, again, tik-tiking aroung, looking for magic peanuts no doubt. That reminds me, I should buy him some peanuts...

We've got just too many squirells around and in our house. This type of squirell is found only in India (or so my granny says). It's got light brown skin with 3 white stripes on its back.

Every morning these little buggers (9 of them inside the house and 2 families in the store-room) troop to the kitchen and keep jumping between the grill of the window and the glass pane until someone gets up and opens it out for them. We tried making a small exit for them but they simply refuse to go by another way. So everyday at 5 a.m. sharp we have a major racket happening in our kitchen. Well, on the brighter side it our very own wake-up call. They don't stop until they are let out.

I buy filberts and put them in a terra cotta dish on the picnic table. That way the squirrels feel welcome to our garden, and they don't have to raid the bird feeders.

hmm ireth, i dunno about that...is the lil guy outside your house or inside? maybe you could apply or spray something near the window sill or cupboard that isn't particularly dangerous but unpleasant for the squirrel...i'm no expert, that's just an idea... = )

Thanks for the advice Giroth. The nutter found a way into my cupboard already and I've shifted most of the important documents and other things to another cupboard.

We never chase them away once they take residence.
