You mean it's "Sheamus"? It's going to be hard to get Seamus (no h) out of my brain. I feel like I'm drunk, pronouncing it Sheamus.

I named my kids Emma, and Dean. I had other names I liked, but I got a strong feeling when they were in my belly of which name they were. I don't even know why I picked Dean....kind of came out of the blue, but as soon as it entered my head, the little kicker in my belly seemed like Dean!

I like the name Arien...but the only problem with it is how similar it is to the word "Aryan", which probably would not be the best name, especially once your kids get into World History classes and the Holocaust. Erp...

As far as A names, well, my name is an A name and fairly unusual, but I love it now. "A" names that I know of: Allegra (mine), Alexis, Alexa, Amena, Ariel, Amy, Athalia, Annamarie, Abigail....and that's it for now.

If 'Ariel' isn't right, there is also 'Arielle,' with the emphasis on the last syllable. For a boy, Andy or Ardal (an Irish-type name if that's what you're looking for), and that's all I can think of that start with A. There must be better ones though, that are more common in Indiana.

Good luck!

I almost always think of the cat in the comic strip Mother Goose and Grimm. If I ever get a cat, I'm naming him Attila.

Well, my name is Allegra, my sister's name is Alexis, and my stepsister's name is Alexa. So you can see why those ones came up.

ariel has always been a favorite of mine... though i don't think a girl is in the cards after three boys

allegra is very nice too... makes me think of the musical term 'allegro'... are you 'quick and sprightly'?

my neighbor's dog is named attlia... big, nasty looking rottweiler who's a total wimp

Haha, actually, I have always been a fairly lively spirit. My name suits me...I also turned out to be "musically inclined."

Well, if it should happen, all I can say is: "my condolences."
