And it's hopeless, utterly hopeless! Tuor loves MOI!! *bats eyelashes at her adoring Tuor* (and no I"m NOT the RÃ*an that's his mother - I'm another RÃ*an! ) I've chosen Tuor for my human side and Fingon for my elvish side (I'm halfelven - look at my title) And I get to choose before Earniel because ... um, because ... well because I wants to! And she has to be a nice moderator and let me go first! At least, that's what MY Entmoot rulebook (that I just wrote) says!

Honestly, RÃ*an, I keep tellin' ya: He's your son, it's not healthy. You gotta let him go. And now get back on topic, you little spammers or I'm entitled to use my frightening mod-powers to make you.

I don't know if its really appropriate for this thread, since I was remarkably unaffected by the JD sickness, but upon reaquest of BB, here's a little of my Moot history. Here goes...
I started out on my Tolkien journey with the Hobbit - which I bought for less than the price of a chocolate! Afterwards, naturally, followed LotR. At this time the first movie appeared. Then I moved on to Silm & some of his other works. I loved Silm the most Entmoot is also my first message board the join & currantly my only one. I'm way too busy for such nonsense And RÃ*an, I know how you feel about opening the floodgates. None of my friends have read Tolkien, so this is the only place where I can share my thoughts and feelings with other weird people. Not only do I enjoy the Tolkien related threads, but I also like some of the more general ones. *Special note given to Teacup Cafe * As for a particular Moot experience: I remember that in my first month or so after joining up, Wayfarer was rather, well, how to put this... insufferable. Don't know if it was my imagination or if he's that way with newbies in general? But no harm done, he kinda dissapeared after that. Now lets see, special people I've come accross here. I must admit I was a bit hesitant about adding this since I'm bound to leave someone out. In that case I sincerely apologize. (in no particular order of course) - I always appreciate Inked's oppinion - have to admit, Wayfarer - for keeping me thinking - Nurv is a great compannion with a kind heart - Chrys is special & kinda weird, but very interesting - Always enjoy talking to EarthBound - I'll never get tired of me9996's peculiar notions - Pytt's great to talk to, when he's around - BB is rather entertaining - RÃ*an is sweet (not meant in a little girl with pig tails way) Its just some of the people I like. Lots more, can't mention ya all. Oh, kinda all the people in the Teacup Caffe is cool I won't be giving any Oscars away for favourite threads - there's just too many to choose from and I can't think of all of them right now. And now I believe I've done my part can't say I didn't try. Anar caluva tielyanna Lenya |

well, ok when you are next in Uk i'll get you one: now your moot experiences please EB 600 ...
my recent moot experiences have been largely around the london explosions thread ... all i wish to say here is i have been in london just recently and i have found that londoners have genuinely in the vast majority been much more friendly than of old to a really tangible degree and have found some shared experience and reflective thought on life and rushing around... i was on a train coming back yesterday at 12pm when there was an announced 2 minute silence ... on a crowded train with a very culturally mixed group of fellow passengers it was universally well (impeccibly) observed ... shared experiences can mean alot and tell valid, real and interesting stories ... so let's have some more. so let us all step up and tell us your thoughts, experiences, hopes, dreams and moot history. |

Oh! and I'm progressing so fast because this summer I'm estranged from all my old friends and my old lifestyle, I don't have to hold a job right now (which is so nice while it lasts!), the moot is stock-full of such interesting people to communicate with, and I've got a home computer to while away the hours on. It won't last forever like this, but...

Oh I know how you feel. About a month ago I had a whole month long holiday (you don't get longer than that in the middle of the year down south) & I loved being able to hang around here for how ever long I chose. Now I can mostly only come over the weekends

Well, my 1,000th post went unnoticed by me 'till just now, so I looked back to see what it was & it was me admitting to be a 'Feanorphile' (or, as Katya prefers, 'Feanorophile'), which is nicely appropriate I suppose. I really don't know what to say about this "thousand post" thing; I mean, is this really such a celebratory moment? Suffice it to say, I truly enjoy the Moot and am so grateful for all the hours of intellectual stimulation, laughs, mini-fights, friendly banter, rpg-ing, all of it! What else can I say; I like ALL of you here on the Moot! Is it Ben Milder who started Entmoot? Well, thank you very, very much Ben; it is an awesome site!

Eh.
Anyone remember The Mighty Three (Eärniel, BoP and myself)? And that Andúril (in the room. The room is locked) story with Lizra? And all those theological debates? Seems like such a long time ago. |

I remember beating you handily in those theological debates
I miss Bopper and Liz. I'm very glad Her Frogginess is still around, and I'm glad to see you back, Andúril
