Hmmm...it was Dame Eileen Atkins. Wrong dame... and wrong story from me. I had thought that when she said "it was pure bliss" she had given in to him, but this source has it different. Why would you end a Time article about this with "It was pure bliss", which implies something quite contrary to the truth?

Oh, no, my experiences are preying again? I hope it's not on the weak and helpless, like last time.

And now Emma (Paltrow/Northam) and An Ideal Husband.
I thoroughly enjoyed both

two of my elder sisters watched Pride and Pejudice (the new one) in a college theatre showing...they said it was, actually hilarious. They said if it hadn't been so entertaining, it would be simply bad; that at least it was funny...and it all comes down to, of course, that actress of recent sucess: Keira Knightly....
half-pursing those lips, half opening them...."Oh Jack....I mean, Darcy ole' boy..." Meanwhile: I'll have to see for myself...not because I don't believe my sis', but because I DO.

I watched "The Engagement Ring". Anyone who loved "Moonstruck" will like this movie, starring Patricia Heaton (Debra of E.L.R. fame). It was a gentle and loving movie.

I have seen the Importance of Being Earnest; it's probably the only play for which I can boast having read it, seen a live production, and seen a film production.
