I like a bunch of the bands above, but many of them are over my head. I'm suprised noone has mentioned Bad Religion. They are awsome! And I like Pennywise, NoFx, Off By One, Reliant-K, and thats about it in the punk genre.(sp)

glad to hear your view. i dont think Reliant K is punk rock either but some people do so i decided that it wouldn't hurt to talk about thiem here.

P.S. I don't see anything wrong with playin a song for a kid's movie, i mean after all it would get older people to watch it .

Uh, no, it would just get more people to think that punk rockers have Christian ideals.

Ok, Ninquelote, we all now know that you HATE Reliant-K, so you don't need to tell us anymore. I actually don't call them punk either, but I still enjoy a couple songs of theirs.

Also, Ninquelote, I have no shame saying that I love Veggietales. I saw Jonah in the theaters and own it on DVD. You just must to have a certain sense of humor to enjoy the Veggies

isnt thrash metal the fusion of punk and metal? and wasnt grunge the fusion of punk and metal and rock? im all for it. cross fertilization leads to diversity and true art.

I really like The Ataris. Their new song In This Diary is such a great song, and I've downloaded some of their older stuff from Kazaa. It's really good.

Well, last night I saw Less Than Jake, Good Charlotte and A New Found Glory in concert. It was soooooo awesome. They were at Arrow hall in Toronto. Anyone else go?

Yes, but then they are either thrash or grunge, and most of their fans still think they're all metal. Same with many fans of punk bands; they think punk is metal. But people can't go around labeling everything that's not pop or country as metal. THere are many more genres than most people realise.
