Not for breakfast???? You must be kidding. I will honestly make these this weekend. looks YUM.
"Kool-Aid", by the way, is a fruit flavored powdered drink mix. The only reasonable use for it is the one I'm doing this month, which is dying yarn with it. That's what I'm doing with my campers, week after next.

Oh! We did that in Art-class as well! We dyed cloth too and by making knots in it, you could make all sorts of patterns. That was fun ^_^
Do you have camp-t-shirts? Every camp I've been to required making those things... Kool-Aid... doesn't sound tasty. I prefer carrot juice

I often do tye-dye with them, but this year I'm doing something a little different, involving squirt bottles. I try to change it up a bit. Can't use the kool-aid for that, though, because it's best for protein fibers.
We never have compulsory camp shirts, but this year they got the idea to print some, which the kids can take. We feature a lot of visiting artists...this week we had a painter doing some fancy fabric stenciling with them, and made the results into bags or pillows. Also we did a "project runway" type thing, had a storyteller in, and started a music performance with a professional musician...all in addition to camp crafts, games, swimming, etc. Next week it'll be all different. It's a lot of work, lol.

Oh, that sounds like a lot of fun! Especially the storyteller, I would have loved that!
Perhaps you can let them write an RPG for creative writing We didn't get shirts, we had to make them. Every kid had to bring a white T-shirt which you would have to make a teamdesign for and draw on your T-shirt together with your name etc. I hated those, the designs were always lame and sometimes people would have to walk around you to read your name of the back of your shirt. >_< Gotta run now, need to get some groceries before the shops close... Be back soon! *hugs Sis before taking off*

Back already.
I was just called a bitch... I wanted to go into the store but there were kids playing so I asked them if I could please pass. I was answered with: "No, bitch!" There were 2 adults talking and watching who were the parents I suppose, but they said nothing. I was too surprised to say anything about it myself... *still has eyes wide with surprise* Oh well, at least I got my milk.

Yes. But you can't blame the kids really. I think they were too young to even understand the word. I mean, they are not supposed to be able to speak English yet. (I think they were 6 or 7)
It was shocking in any case. I would love to be their babysitter Oh! The sun is appearing! If it had been like this a few hours ago, I could have cycled to the next town for glasses... Oh well. Maybe Monday. Oh, have another appointment with a job agency on Monday as well. I'm getting pretty tired of those, but that's a story I'd better take over to the Venting thread. Anyway, cup of tea anyone? I think I'll make myself an Earl Grey and have an apple.

I know ... but I haven't been posting much anywhere this week.
It seems I'm seldom in the Moot for long enough to engage in any Teacup conversation - if I post, I just stick my head in and then disappear again But now I'd like a cup of tea, please Quote:
I feel safe about posting now. Quote:
I would agree that Athrabeth really is a later work, though. I just don't see what's diluted about it? And with me, it's not that I don't like The Hobbit, I just like the other even more

"Now look here, this is a decent place! Shame on you, carrying on like that in the middle of the street! Shame." (dont really know what he's looking at but apparently a too amorous couple has taken the Beatles song "Why dont we do it in the street" too literally) |

I happen to like Kool-Aid. I'm so sad now.. it's POURING down rain, and tonight, I was going on a date to the local Independence Day Bash. I'm not sure it'll be going on, though, it will be rescheduled, probably. If it doesn't go on. I'm SO SAD!!!

Midge, don't know what time it is over there, but here it poured all day and now the sun is out. My parents are sitting outside reading the paper. So maybe it'll get better

*Meanwhile the Moots are still preparing for this evening's entertainment. Setting up their instruments, doing the tuning, sing ups and stuff.*
