Magic is magician stuff, yes.

Magick is the term popularised by Alastair Crowly in his book of the same name.......the book is a spellbook for summoning deamons, brewing potions and it is all black magic and not very savoury IMO.

New Age Pagans (New Age! ffs).....used the name instead of the old term.......Ritual........wiccans do not perform Magick.......they perform rituals to the Godess and God
The Catholic church has rituals closer to wiccan practises than Crowley used in his book.

Buffy has a lot of explaining to do.......

And they defy catagorization as either conquerors or utopian. Or alien life on the opposite end of the spectrum that IS actually like algae. These, my friends, make up the vast majority of the life that populates our universe. Because the chances that any given alien life is about like us or maybe a little more advanced but pretty close is pretty small. Now that being said according to the laws of statistics they have to be out there too.

yes...but what the wiccans use as their magick in doing spells is magick..we do preform rituals to the g-d and g-ddess, but also other things. also, not all magick is dark or bad

Nope, I'm afraid it isn't....Magick, as Crowley recorded, is the calling of spirits/deamons to grant your wishes......most Magick ceremonies are performed to trap/intimidate beings (dieties) until they agree to your demands.....potions and wotnot are designed to give someone power (either personal or working through others) without any kind of divine intervention.

I've yet to meet any followers of the Wicca religion who would even dream of doing such a thing.

Quote:

This, I suppose, could depend upon you POV.....part of Magick is calling directly upon a diety....and if that call was for a good cause then yes, I can see how it would be regarded as maybe a good thing.

Wiccans do not perform spells *wonders what books are being read here* in the traditional sense.......they perform rituals that, despite having maybe some outlandish instructions/ingredients.......should always both begin and end in a couteous request to the Goddess and (depending on the time of year) to the God......Magick demands that the purveyor/worshipper gains some kind of power (either for themselves or power over others) Wicca requests that the Goddess, God or both send their blessings........very important to always remember that

If you want a really good book about the history and practice of Wicca read Wiccan by Vivienne Crowley (the surname similarity is purely accidental) .

Well, technically you can't call me a wiccan, lol, i know a lot of magick myself. I'm really like well the magick i'm into and that is much more complex and difficult than that of a wiccan and there are few like me. I'll explain it if you pm me about it. I totally agree with legolas_frodo_aragorn about magick. Yes i believe there is other life forms out there i mean come on why make space so big otherwise? i mean come on, it'd just be a waste of time then. And to touch on astrail projection (Obe), i have done it before a couple of times but i no longer need to or have a want to. There are many things in magick that few know of, but i believe i know a lot, though i think i am wrong. uh hello wiccans can and will cast spells most of them use so Mote it be as the end or you shoud and you should always have the pentcal on the back of any paper being used. The pentcal is not related with the devil all of the time. Anybody here also believe in split worlds, portals and things like that?

The pentagram/pentacal isn't associate with satan any time.......it represents the five elements.

re: the rest of your post....sheesh, be bloody carful what you're doing......I don't think you know the difference between magick and religion

Nope I don't exclusively follow Wicca, I'm a Pagan.

I do know/have known several Wiccans tho'....and I'm friends of several members of our local Coven

Footnote: No wiccan requests power.....pfah!.......they do, however hope for blessings.

yea, the pentacle as the 4 elements (earth, air, water, fire) and one for the spirit, which is placed on top because it is the most important. An inverted pentacle is the sign of evil usually..and the spirit is on the bottom

*sigh* A pentagram/pentacle can be upside down....back to front....shoved up a wotsit and turned inside out.......it still wouldn't be a symbol of evil. That is a misconception brought about during the time of Toquemada and reinforced during the witch-trials that existed in Europe, Russia and the USA.

A pentagram/pentacle is simply a symbol denoting the 5 elements, nothing more, nothing less (the 5th being the ethereal realm).

I may not know a lot about Majick as you call it, but I know that a lot of what you said Elvishfaerie about Wiccan is seriously wrong. Coney you did a great job setting her (him?) straight on the subject I will be either PMing or posting some stuff on here to further help you (Elvishfaerie) understand it, and know what you were wrong about.

Right now I'm thinkin Majick is not something that I want to mess with at the moment Yeah I have my occasional Deja Vu type thing, but I'm not so sure about that.

If it is suitable for the main boards could you post it pls?

I, for one, am always interested in learning something new about Wicca.

GRRRRRRR, how dare you call me wrong! I am not wrong, the "magick" i'm into and using isn't really like what you think! honestly now! call me wrong when you know nothing about it! I never said the pentcal was an evil thing just a lot of ppl i know think it is so i had to clear that up! Yeah it would be okay to post, but you would't believe it! Nor would you probably understand it! It makes sense to few, very few, and very few are in it.

Try us......you'd be surprised at what I can believe

Another quick point......I was not attacking what you believe in (because I don't actually know what you believe in). I was correcting your interpretations of Wicca, Magick and the use of a pentagram/pentacle.
