I made my name from the Gondorian calender for the spring month Lotesse, which falls in the "Taurus" sun-sign calender area, April23 - May22. I'm not a Taurus, I just liked the way Lotesse sounded and when I was registering, I was in a hurry and all excited and hadn't had much time to think about what to name myself. in retrospect, though, I'm glad i picked the name I did - I like it. I like your name to, Melfena, it's pretty, and mellifluous.

Anyway. I read it in a pocket book with tales of Donald Duck. Uncel Scrooge bought a snake, which was called Pytt. I thought it sounded cool, and when Thorondor was taken here already, I took that instead

Hey, Lotesse, that's how I got my name too. I was in such a hurry to post, so I had to register, and I just picked the first LotR character that came to mind. But, I didn't want to 'pose' as the actual Tom Bombadil, so I used Bombadillo. And I like that choice too, 'cause it's fun to type.

Pytt, that's awesome! You gave me the impression that your name was from some obscure fantasy, but an obscure Disney character is just as good. I have a box in the basement that hasn't been unpacked since I moved here (in 1997) that's full of videos; half of them are Donald Duck.

For some reason, the name of Sam's eldest daughter always stayed in my mind - it is so lyrical, so when I had to choose a name it was the first one to spring into my thoughts!! Then I had to choose an avatar. My name also means a golden flower and my signature refers to chocolate. My avatar is a chocolate and fruit dessert in the shape of a golden flower!!

Same deal. Minus the chocolate. I wanted a more obscure female Tolkien name, and there were already tons of arwens, galadriels, eowyns, and rosies. Looks like I didn't go obscure enough! Then I added the whole Darth Vader thing because it seemed funny

I was a junior (sophmore? cant remember) in highschool and my friends Willow Oran, HumanPi and KlatuKatt were posting on this WEIRD ARSE website (now known to me as entmoot) and asking me to join their rpg. I read it, and threw confused looks at my twittering/giggling/high-as-the-sky/Singing Lotr music female companions adn Dubbed myself "The Last Sane Person". Thusly I was born. (Here, anyways)
