Re: Sarah
While you're at it, do you have any ideas for a smaller one for me? For some as yet unknown reason, mine has been critisized. (Admittedly nicely, and I'm not all that in love with it, anyway.)
Also, I need to think of a reason to use certain really cool pics. ::sigh:: This is even on topic, because I said I sort of collect random thoughts, and that was sure random. (Look, no sig now. ) |

Re: Sarah
When you have a sig that's large it sometimes makes the page hard to load. Like just now, it took three attemps to pull up the second page of this thread. I figured that someone must have posted with a huge sig, and I was right. I am not sure really why this happens, but I have seen a pattern with large sigs.

Re: Sarah
Sorry. I'm trying to remember that this community has problems with big sigs and turn mine off, but I don't always. I'm not used to it being a problem, I guess.

Re: Sarah
Why don.t you just make it 80% of it's actual size? You can do that with almost any graphic program...

And if you don't have a graphics program that can do it (I know I don't) then just go to www.myimager.com and upload your image onto there.

Re: ...
Oh, I can change sizes, but that's my RPG sig, anyway, so I don't really need to use it.

While we're talking about forms of John...
...other feminine forms include Jean, Jeanne, Jane, etc. My source (sorry, don't remember which source) says it comes from Hebrew "Johanan". I have no idea which is correct. Hmm...other intersting variations include Jens (Danish) and Evan (Welsh). There are whole message boards devoted to this kind of thing.
Some one get me off this topic!!! |

You know what's frustrating? I'm supposed to have a fast connection, but so many idiots use napster that it is often quite slow. Grrr...

If you want, I can probably add to your list of ways to say I don't speak (...) Just name a language, and I can try to find it out!
My dad has been collecting a list of ways to say "Where is my umbrella" It's "Wo ist meine Regenshirm" in German. |

I wanted to start a "what do you collect" thread, but here it is. It went off topic, so to get it back on.....I collect tons of stuff. I only buy things at garage sales or thrift stores (sometimes flea markets or auctions) and never spend more than $10, unless it has a use around the home. (like and old Hi Fi we can play the old albums on, or a cool lamp)
I collect: vintage aprons (I have over 50), Vintage (early sixties and prior) hankies, All sorts of kitchen textiles, vintage planters (the ceramic ones), Abraham Lincoln stuff for my husband and old hairspray can covers. also albums from the 40's and 50's that were really cool, like frank Sinatra and Dean Martin stuff. I'm game for anything from the 50's though. I have so many "collections" I can't remember them all! TV trays, Poodle stuff, vintage cookbooks and gardening books. Whee! I love it! Star Wars toys, Dr. Who novelisations, CDs, MP3s, roman coins (sorta), DVDs and odd socks it seems...
