Makes you wonder how many of those 984 (and counting) still visit and how many of them are doubles....

If you look at the members list, almost all of them have either 0 or less than ten posts. Then there is a huge gap in posts to people with over a hundred. Thare are barely any people inbetween. I would say that only one person in 20 is active in any kind of regular way. Maybe not even that much.

Um, that last one isn't quite accurate Elf Girl. I just checked, and we are still at 885. I will believe it about that many people not posting. How did you find that out? I doubt that you took the time to count them all uo.

I didn't count them up, I did a search for those with zero posts and copy and pasted them into Word and made a numbered list...

I post. Why would someone sign up and then not post at all? That's kinda pointless.

We are at 986 now. That makes 14 people left. That was a really smart way of doing it. I don't think I would have thought of either searching or pasting elsewhere to count them up. I will have to remember that

Have just read everything on this thread as have not read it for couple of days. Just to confirm things:

Ky = Kyote Fields
Yes, he has left
Yes, i think it was the pranks that did it,
and there was a goodbye note actually.If you go to any of his posts and lok at his sig it says i am no longer posting. You can contact me at and then he gives his email. Maybe if we all email him, he will come back!???

I think the admins should send an email out to those 268 members.

So there are 268 (+ or -) non-posting members. Does Entmoot have an inactive members data base? Like if you haven't posted in say 30 days you are placed there and after x amount of time you are deleted from the membership? If not, I would think such a program would help big time in managing the membership files.

(992 at this post)

Now say if Entmoot gets a fantastic write up in some 'zine or paper, the membership could grow right through the roof, then all these inactive memberships will grow as well because not everyone will stick with this...

I am just wondering (Maybe we should do a poll to see what the rest of the moot thinks.)

Yes, I can see that now. Maybe non-posting members could be highlighted in pink and purple on the membership list.
