I know - it's a good movie that I could watch over and over again, but 'Interview' was better as it stuck to the books more than 'Dammed'.

That was also filmed partially in NZ. Love that movie. I need to get it on DVD.
I've only recently found it on DVD, which was good, because before that I hadn't seen it for years.

I haven't seen The Blues Brothers for ages! I must watch that sometimes, I love it.

I can't believe I forgot to add PotC and LotR.
As well as those I'd have to say:

The Night Before Christmas.

I love it, and like The Blues Brothers I haven't seen it for ages. I'll have to borrow it off my friend, or better yet buy it.

Ah but you see I don't like the LotR's movies because they're LotR. I don't like the changes they've made from the books. But as a normal fantasy film it's pretty good - I just love the sets and music as well.

Notice I said Fellowship of the Ring and probably RotK. TTT is by far my least favorite of the trilogy and I don't know that I could watch it over and over again. I bought the Extended Edition and have seen it a grand total of once.

But do you find Eddy Izzard "fit" as you say?

Anyway, doesn't matter. He is so funny.

It will depend much of the mood I’m in,

Bladerunner is the one I would like to see now.

There are actually some movies which need to be seen more then once, and can get even better, to understand plot points and/or character motivations. A good example is Groundhog Day!
Others include Godfather I and II (not III), Death on the Nile, Murder on the Orient Express, Bladerunner, Goodfellas, and the remake of Out of the Past (Against All Odds).

Some movies that are just entertaining to rewatch include:
A Fish Called Wanda
The Inlaws (the original with Peter Falk, not the unamusing remake).
Doctor Strangelove
Life of Brian
The President's Analyst
The Flight of the Phoenix
and...............The Vikings!!! Hail Ragnar! Hail Ainar!

Actually, I didn't miss that word. I just wanted everyone to know which category I fall into.

Oh yes, I forgot to put The Space Odyssey on my list.

Many years ago I persuaded a guy to go with me to a concert with Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra. They started playing "Also Sprach Zarathustra", whereby my friend lightened up and enthusiasticly exclaimed: 'I didn't know they were going to play filmmusic'.

Not sure who said it, but that's not entirely true, given that Randall Wallace wrote Braveheart upon being inspired by looking into his geneological ancestry (you know, Wallace). The real question is why Randall Wallace, who went on to write Pearl Harbor and direct We Were Soldiers, has been unable to do anything useful since.

As for movies that I can see again and again? Way too many to list. A lot of you have mentioned the Star Wars Classic Trilogy, and I would actually include the Prequels as well - there really is something new to catch in them every time. Many of the classics can just be popped in and enjoyed at any given sitting, and one always comes out with a greater understanding of it afterwards - Casablanca, for example, is almost limitless in the depth of its screenplay, and countless films are almost limitless when it comes to visual nuances. Take any of Pixar's five feature films, for example.

Most of the classic musicals can be watched over and over again, if only to learn all the songs by heart and sing along.

I find that the genre that ages the fastest is the comedy. In the majority of cases, jokes don't have the same immortality as high drama.
