Then a few good egg nogs with brandy will make you forget or not even care you are sick.

Give me a break. You admitted to getting the flu, so that means you are not Elven, thank you. BUSTED!

It IS a particularly bad strain this year though... maybe the first to affect even elves... fading as they are?

Started feeling really bad Wednesday night...skipped church. Went to the doctor on Thursday. Diagnosed with flu AND a very severe sinus infection. Most people just get some sinus drip, but no, because of my genetics and my susceptibility to sinus infections, I have to get a SEVERE infection. o.O And, to top it all off, I'm allergic to all cheap medicine (such as penicillin and it's cheap replacements like Bactrum and Sulpha based drugs).

Starting to feel like I'm kind of alive today, but still not too hot. My dad called me and told me to make sure if I got worse to go to the doctor again, because he didn't want me to die.

Sweet, Dad, but not exactly encouraging.

Well... one good effect of this bug I got. Have had some decreased appetite and dropped about 10 pounds! If only I could get rid of this nagging cough!

Losing weight is NOT a good thing when you weigh less than one-hundred pounds, though.

And that dang cough hangs on forever. I still have it.

Yep, the cough is terrible. Two weeks later, I'm still coughing. It's the worst in the middle of the night, and first thing in the morning.

Yeah the cough is frustrating. Anyone else get coughing fits to the point that you toss the cookies? It's been awhile - but I had several earlier on.

My doctor said the virus would linger in my system for about six weeks ... I've just passed the four week mark.

I came very close a few days ago, but I held my coughs in when I felt myself gagging. I'm emetaphobic, and I think I've gotten to the point where I can "will" myself to not vomit.
