That should be "Je déteste des jambes des grenouilles."

And so you should. I never understood what's so great about "delicatesses" when you're killing frogs merely for this tiny bit of meat in their legs.

Then let's introduce some European frogs and see if we can tamper with the NZ ecosystem some more

How embarassing, being caught at a Dutchism. It's a common mistake for Dutch-speaking people to make, though.

well, aussies are having trouble with cane toads, nasty critters. And if a place doesn't have them, well, tough bannanas. Dont bring any in just for the kick of it! I am reminded of the hostile take over that some super poisonus snakes are making in hawaii, because of the military transports that fly in from guam. *shudder* Nasty creatures.

Hey, did anyone see that hilarious low-budget flick about cane toads, called Cane Toads? SO FREAKIN' FUNNY!!! Watch it stoned, then it's REALLY hilarious. Here's a link to info about it. Cane Toads.

Frogs are common on all populated continents, no mean feat. They're a very versatile sort of animal. Beside your common garden pool, they can be found from desert to thundra to rainforest.

Personally I am very fond of frogs and even did my last year's final report on their world-wide decline. So this is something I try to keep up with. And I'm rooting for any programme that wants to preserve frog-species. Not only because, as the article states, frogs are a warning system to environmental changes, but also because they are valuable for medical research (and yes, also ust because I love them bulgy-eyed buggers!).

Feel free to discuss.
but arent there too many bull frogs? i was reading somewhere that there are too many bull frogs and they were thinking of killin' them cruel but they have reasons i guess

The plan that is mentioned in the article is geared at safeguarding the endangered and declining frog-species. Bull frogs, as being a very succesful coloniser and survivor, doesn't not fit in either of those two groups. So I take it this is not a species that needs or will benefit from this plan.
