I don't give a flying furry squirrel's arse on the thread topic. Just wanted to say, nice job on the scales of justice entmoot picture. Notice that it 'extends' higher than the entmoot one. Didja steal it from somewhere, it did you have to digitize the extra bits yourself?

THANK YOU BOP!
Gosh, I was starting to give up my hopes that someone would comment on it

Yeah, the pic itself (Darth Tater's work) is taken from Ben's original Tolkien Trail. I'm hardly a graphic designer so there was a lot of trial and error before I got those scales to swing nicely. The picture has been through quite a few image editors that I found online. One of them put a frigging watermark right across Treebeard's belly, so in fact I had to go back and 're-digitize' some bits myself, just to remove it.

The picture quality could have been better. Treebeard's head is actually meant to move a little but you can hardly see it.
Well, a better quality would have meant 1) more work and 2) longer loading times. So while not really perfected, I posted the thing anyway.

Nicely done, Jon. Not nearly up to my jonathong calendar, but nicely done.

I WILL SPEAK IN THE DEFENDANT, HECTOR'S, DEFENSE!

Hector is an upstanding Entmoot citizen. He has kept to his word of fully endorsing EMPRAR -- that's the EntMooter Protection and Repatriation Act, Revised edition. I am one such mooter returned to the moot under this successful program.

I thank you for your letter. The cooperation of the MFA is most appreciated. It is also pleasing to hear that the restrictions on travellers from the state of New Jersey, have been lifted. For a time there, you risked evoking the wrath of the Jersey Devil... Yeah, the old-timers here now what I mean.

Besides, as far as I remember, Hector lives in Tennessee

To: Office of the Attorney General, Ministry of Justice

Dear Jonathan, esteemed Attorney General ()

Late last evening the MFA received an urgent telegram from our Special Envoy to Gondor on heightened activity between known Mordorian agents operating in the area.

For your convenience I have attached the entire telegram:

URGENT TO MFA - STOP - CHATTER ON HECTOR BETWEEN MORGUL AND BARAD DUR - STOP - KEY WORDS HECTOR IMPEACHMENT ASSASSINATION GOV'T SLUSH FUND COUP D'ETAT - STOP - MEETING 4 JULY BLACK GATES OPERATION SERPENT - STOP

The MFA has undertaken an immediate investigation into 'Operation Serpent'. As of yet we know little, but I will keep you updated.

The MFA also requests a join meeting with the Attorney General and the President to make clear the constitutional and legal procedures of the impeachment of the Vice-President. As this has important consequences for the international security of our magnificent City-state I hope that various other Ministries also partake in the meeting.

Regards,
Coffeehouse,
Entmoot Minister of Foreign Affairs

I also liked it. I stared at it for about 5 minutes when I first saw it.

Darn it! Because of Entmoot, my cinnamon rolls are now extra crispy instead of .. you know. Normal. I blame Hector! Impeach the Berlioz!

Thanks Hector, now give me back my gavel!

A big thanks to you Eärniel for your extensive testimony of what transpired almost four years ago. We are especially thankful that you made this big effort despite Inked's massive Euro-English drivel in the post before

Anyway, I took the time to look into the threads of interest to get the whole context. Clearly, the posts you've pointed out provide strong evidence that with the help of Sane, Hector has indeed used his presidential influence to get a sneak peak into other mooters' unmentionables. Now it's not up to me to decide, but I bet a jury would qualify this as power-abuse! And Hector's futile efforts to explain himself doesn't make things better.

I will demand that Sane's spy-tapes are played in this court... er, so the court can grasp the alleged wickedness of it all.

Of further interest is Eärniel's quote: I have a staple bed. There are two whole cabinets under it! We know that Acalewia currently has two cabinets. Could it be that Hector during his time in office also had a pair of them, and that all his cabinet members were spying from under Eärniel's bed?

Also, thanks Midge for providing a too-good-to-be-true confession from Hector himself. I'm not sure we can use it though, and I will ask the jury to disregard from it.

The jury yes. Treebeard will supply us with more info on that matter soon enough.

Oh, I can think of a way he could get out of it.

But if the Entmoot system is just... they'll choose way that is RIGHT!

I'm a little perturbed at all this talk of bed habits. Do we really want to know what illicit activities 'mooters get up to after dark?
