I also like Theoden's 'We will have peace' part from EE, but I can not remember the words.

we shall have peace! when you answer for the burning of the westfold, and the men whose bodies were hewn even as they lay dead against the gates of the hornburg have been avenged! we shall have peace, when you hang from a gibbet for the sport of your own crows, we shall have peace!
Interestingly, bernard hill said that was his favourite scene, and was disappointed that it was cut from the theatrical |

It's really a shame, though, because his acting is the best in that whole scene.
I really have to say for the record that one of my favorite lines in FotR is Gimli's in Marzubul: "Let them come! There is one dwarf in Moria who still draws breath!" I think it's really the only decent line the poor character gets.

And while in Moria, I think the combination of Gandalf reading the book, and saying "They are.. coming" when the orc actually comes, is great.

We're kind of talking about the movies, I think. But I like that poem, too.
Um... well, now that it's all over with and done; EEs and all, I suppose I might think for a moment and come up with a favorite quote. Oh, hang it; it's probably this that's my fave: "The grey rain-curtain of this life rolls back.. and then you see it.... White shores. And beyond them, a far green country under a swift sunrise." I don't really like Gandy the White, but I do like his lines there. So, yeah, that is probably my favorite line in the movie in terms of lines strictly. In terms of delivery, there's Sam's bit about the birds nestin' in the hazel thickets; and Boromir's recalling the White City, "the tower of Ecthelion glimmering like a spike of pearl and silver,"; and of course Boromir's death scene (lines from Aragorn and Boromir are both delivered well).

(paraphrased since I hadn't watched it in awhile)
"Whats that?" "This, my friend, is a PINT!" "I'm getting me one!"

ROTK EE: Saruman's speech.
ROTK EE: Mouth of Sauron: Who would have thought that one so small could endure so much pain. And he did Gandalf, he did. "GRR'" {Aragorn rides up} MoS: And who is this? Isildur's heir? I takes more to a king than a broken Elvish blade! {Aragorn chops his head off} Gimli: Guess that ends negotiations.

Agree with you wholeheartedly, Crazy Squirrel. I loathe that part, too.

Welcome, Wikkie! (May I call you that? Your name plays a major role in an RPG here called Fellowship of the Ringwraiths)...
anyway, welcome to the moot! For that speech, rent the DVD EE, and put it on "English subtitles", then you'll be able to see the whole speech, word-for-word.
