Thank you so much for the last tip--I'll bring that up to him. Because the thing is... I know he'll say no if I ask for lessons over the summer, because he likes to kick back and relax during the summers without any voice lessons to teach... so I want to go and get some experience. I wish I could've gone to him today, but he only comes in on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He's simi-retired from teaching, so he HATES to come in on days when it's not absolutely required . Great teacher, tho'. I've been looking at two arias from Marriage of Figaro all day, and I THINK I might be able to pull one of them together in time to record and sound simi-okay on Thursday. One I sang for my first audition at the school, so I have some bad 'muscle memory' of singing it incorrectly. I might be able to fix that... and it's the one I know the best. The second one would probably sound good in my voice, but it has a couple of F's, and I can hit F's, but maybe not make them pretty enough to be audition-tape worthy. |

CAKES! Thanks Sis, just what my throat needs.
Oh bloody hell. What happened to my throat? It was just fine yesterday. I was singing merrily along, when suddenly it goes *wheeze* and dies. I was trying to sing on the way home last night, but it was URG BAD. Also, I have my nice new computer that I got from various places all ready to be set up for my specs, and I have no power cord. WTF? |

I have homemade chocolate cake sitting on the counter, with homemade vanilla frosting too. It turned out pretty well! Quick, eat it up before I eat it all and get the fatties.

Glocks are nice, but one must be wary not to shoot their ass or foot, off with them. Especially with 1911's, you can't keep a round chambered in them safely. I do it anyways, but I don't recomend it to others. Taurus is just as good as a Glock; slightly safer, lighter and mechanically tough as nails. Also, about half the price of a Glock too. I have both, among others. My CC of choice is Taurus though.

"I HAVE THE DAY OFF!!!!" she yelled before getting back to her chores...
Hey Lief! It's been a while! Hiya Acally! No cookies or cakes or whatever for me. *sigh* Though it sounds delicious. *drools* You know, it's so weird to read about people owning guns like it's the most normal thing in the world. Which it probably is for you guys. Here you are barely allowed to own a kitchenknife

Bleh...
we have a saying in Farsi that illustrates this perfectly. "Na beh ein shoor-y e shoor, na be ein benamack-y" Not to be so totally salty, but not to be this bland either. I.e., everything in moderation.

A friend of mine from a different forum has miniature Dutch trams in his garden. Not the same as a small scale train, but nice too ^_^ My dad used to build miniature trains as well, but he sold them years ago. Noble! Long time no see! So you more or less survived your exams?

Was it such a long time? I guess my current location explains it...
Today, I finished one of the projects I have to do to that design school, a jewel. Well, it doesn't have any jewels in it, but it's a pretty piece of wood with light brown and silvery strings on it. Don't know the real name, but in Finnish the wood is "red beech". It gives a nice touch to the surface, with those red stripes on it. I also made the sound box; a (fake) sponge with wood pearls in it and a thin piece of wood covering it, attached with a strong taping. Maybe not very pretty, but I consider the use of a (fake) sponge to be creative, when the paper says it's supposed to be a sound "box". Tomorrow, I'll make the floating item miniatyre, and maybe even put together the two files I'm supposed to send. (Two schools, two files.) I also finished the last two pieces of lyrics to the record me and my best friend are doing. The other one I wrote using the haiku- poetic meter. I'll post it in the WW. How have you been? I've been sneaking around the cafe, but didn't really wanna log in. My exams... went worse than I expected, but not that bad really. Let's see, all the used grades, from the best to worst: L(über), E, M, C, B, A, and I (failed). My grades: L/E for English, B for Geology, C for Swedish, Philosophy and maybe Mother Tongue.

Those projects sound interesting! If you have a piccie, send it? *puppy eyes*
Which course did you fail? Not Finnish, did you? It's nice you had some time to write. Haiku is interesting, but a lot of people make a mess of it. I'd be interested to read it, to see how you adopted it I have been good Working a lot for school and reading, reading, reading I had some time to lounge today though ^_^
