I had a point-and-shoot for a long time, too, but that was a Hewlett-Packard. Got some quite nice photos with that - and now the compact cameras are usually quite good.
It was a year ago that I got myself my Canon EOS 400D. It was going to the next level, and it was worth it I still have a lot to learn about how to use it, though..

The Nikon Coolpix L3... yup... pretty sure that's the one I have lol...
And yes, I probably got it in 2006... or maybe it was 2005.... the years all blend together. For the most part I've been very pleased with it's performance. It's so wonderfully simple to use that even a slightly technologically challenged person such as myself can easy handle it... it's just when I get those darn blurred pictures or the horrible dusk ones that I get frustrated. Oh, and I named the camera Desmond, so I can have someone to yell at if the pictures come out badly That being said... here are a few more from my collection: |

Oooh! That last one makes me think of the Shire ^_^
It's a theme-pic

I sort of have a feeling I posted these photos of Aino before, but I'm not sure.. So here we go again.
Aino outside the Orthodox Cathedral in Helsinki (the Uspenski cathedral) Amira.. Solanum tuberosum - you know what flower that is?

Great pics, Nerd!
Sorry I haven't been posting recently... just had a rather annoying illness that left me devoid of all will and strength to go on my computer. Finally feeling better and I'll be going on a walk with the fiance and his parents today, and I'll be bringing the camera... so expect more soon! |

Okay here are some:
Btw Jonathan, from what you said in the Entmoot Pic Links thread, those islands are in Sweden, but the picture was taken in Norway. Actually the sailboat was about right on the borderline at sea between our countries So good hunch and a nice guess!

Nice photos, CH
Mk, here are some from me.. I might've mentioned that I got a 50 mm lens and zoom lenses for my birthday: so I was playing around to see how it all works.. Same as above..

They look like potato flowers (or if not, then a close relative)
Really beautiful when you see them in a close-up.
