Sinome maruvan ar Hildinyar tenn' Ambar-metta!' - And those were the words that Elendil spoke when he came up out of the Sea on the wings of the wind: 'Out of the Great Sea to Middle-earth I am come. In this place will I abide, and my heirs, unto the ending of the world.' 'Then Tuor arrayed himself in the hauberk, and set the helm upon his head, and he girt himself with the sword; black were sheath and belt with clasps of silver. Thus armed he went forth from Turgon's hall, and stood upon the high terraces of Taras in the red light of the sun. None were there to see him, as he gazed westward, gleaming in silver and gold, and he knew not that in that hour he appeared as one of the Mighty of the West, and fit to be father of the kings of the Kings of Men beyond the Sea, as it was indeed his doom to be; but in the taking of those arms a change came upon Tuor son of Huor, and his heart grew great within him. And as he stepped down from the doors the swans did him reverence, and plucking each a great feather from their wings they proffered them to him, laying their long necks upon the stone before his feet; and he took the seven feathers and set them in the crest of his helm, and straightway the swans arose and flew north in the sunset, and Tuor saw them no more.' -Of Tuor and his Coming to Gondolin "Oh. Of course it is! That's what makes it so funny.
Anyway, stupid merriam-webster wanted me to play, and that had a FREE definition of Dunny, so there.

For short, you can call me Beor, if not that, Bill, or maybe John. Actually, all my names are one syllable, so maybe you should lenghtnen it instead, like Beornastacias. That would be cool

Every time I see the name of your country in NationStates, I think "Beornification".

Well, I know I don't post much, being a newbie and all, but if you want to give me a nickname, "BC" is fine.
Sums up my age rather neatly... "Kitty" or "Cat" are all right, too. None can possibly be confused with my real first and middle names which are too French for anyone in the USA to spell or pronounce. And, get this. I'm not even of French extraction. Mom just liked the names. I do too, but it's tough to go through life (since B.C.) having to spell or pronouce your name all the time. Some of my best friends, people I've know for years, still don't get it right. *Whew* Thank you. I needed that...

Eärniel is short enough as it is so there's really no need at all to shorten it further. Elves don't use short nicknames anyway. Although I might be persuaded to listen to 'Niel or something simular when I'm in a good mood.

Short for Eärniel; Eä! (first word ever spoken in Tolkien's unverse )

Artanis, I'm glad you like "Arty" - I think it's cute I like BJ for brownjenkins - I was wondering if it was OK with him, and it looks like it is, so I'll use it. I like what Afro-Elf came up with for our NZ friend who went thru a name change (Beard of Pants to Sheeana) and back - SheBop. Do you like that one, BoP?
