the ring and the ring two scared me. i know i know. they really weren't that scary, but what can i say?
also (i ahshamed to admit) the boogeyman freaked me out a little. when i was a little kid i watched these movies or a series about the boogeyman (i think it was on the disney channel and someone has told me recently it was called mr. boogity???) and it really scared me. i used to get night terrors all the time (you know- the real bad nightmares where someone has to slap you to wake you up and stop you from screaming?) so those movies didn't help when i was young.

i can't watch "it" either. clowns scare the living crap out of me.

To agree with people above, Clowns are a real Nightmare, in movies or in real life. Maybe IT was scary, but Ronald McDonald isn't far behind!

Event Horizon. Just the whole concept of that film freaked me out. I'm a big space geek and I look at it as the only truly unexplored frontier. And of course it's easy to scare people with bloodthirsty aliens and creatures that nobody's ever seen before but this movie accomplished that in space WITHOUT any creatures. It's scary if someone goes crazy on your ship because there's absolutely nowhere to run.

You know, I've watched that movie three times trying to understand it. It's just so much gobbledy gook to me. sigh.....

Hmm, are you talking about the American version or the original japanese one? the remake is good, though not as good as the Japanese version, there's just something about the quality of the original which can't be matched by the remake.. that movie gave me nightmares for a month!!

Scary movies are not my cup o' tea but when I was much younger, one of the TV channels used to show old movies after school at 4:00. Watched the Bela Lugosi Dracula and when the commercial came on, realized I had finished my orange, peel and all. Needed to wear my cross to bed that night, too!

For being creeped out during the movie: Mulholland Drive
Creeped out afterwards: Blair Witch Project (amazingly enough)

Weird, considering some of the other things I have seen.

I actually didn't think Jaws was very scary.
Cat in the Hat, now that's scary! I think I'm scarred for life.

I saw like 5 seconds of 'It' at a sleepover, but then my friend's mom said she didn't want us watching it. Then a friend of my friend told me what happened, and it sounded really scary.

I dunno, again it must be my weirdness, but... these scary movies just don't scare me. Not even the ones considered "good" in this genre.

And then there are the downright silly ones... watching those, I have a hard time holding back my sarcastic side-comments and/or laughter.
