My house is mostly full of healthy foods, and also there aren't many quick and easy type of foods, so basically if I want something I have to make it. That makes me more likely to make something good rather than just reaching for the potato chips because it's easy.

Why are you so anti-fun all the time?

Are you sure this is a cabinet you are appointing, rather than the entire parliament?

Sooooo I'm gonna start trying to drink green tea . I picked some up at the store tonight when I was stocking up on veggies and fruit (in both the frozen and fresh variety).
Supposedly so long as it's organic, and not in a bleached tea bag, green tea is super healthy for you. It speeds up your metabolism, it's an appetite suppressant, and it's got antioxidants which are supposed to be good for your skin and help your body fight infections. You have to drink like three cups a day or something, but considering how much I dearly lurv tea, I don't think that will be a problem. We'll see if it's really as great for you as they say . I always take that stuff with a grain of salt, so maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised. Either way I am just totally loving this healthy eating stuff. I feel great and I think I have more energy. For instance I got up fairly early today, and I felt tired and sluggish around 2-4 like I usually do but not to the point where I'm afraid that if I sit down I'm going to end up taking a nap. So that's a nice improvement, and the only thing I can think to 'blame' it on is the new diet. |

Make sure not to steep it in boiling water. It burns green tea, and for the longest time, I thought I hated it, because it was always burnt. Let the water cool for about five minutes before steeping green tea.
I always keep a little sencha on standby. At this point, it's my entire tea consumption, since I've run out of Lady Grey . . .

I may have to let the water cool more next time. It wasn't boiling, but it was close... and I did read that if the water is too hot it'll zap a lot of the good properties you get from drinking it (the antioxidants in particular). I'll definitely try that five minute rule .
It tasted... I dunno about delicious, but it didn't have a bad flavor at all . I haven't really had green tea before... usually I just tried various herbal flavors, but this one was just straight up green tea. Very nice... it went down easy . |

Check out jasmine green tea. Delicious. As is pretty much everything jasmine-y.

Ok, that is the first time I've heard this. So if the water is at a real boil, I need to wait five mins. I shall try that.

May I just say that after having lived through a very slow time of Entmoot, I appreciate all the activity going on!

Wow, you've got two cabinets now?
Why not copy all the member names of Cabinet #1 (who all sadly seem to have been trapped in the last Teacup thread when it closed) and paste them in your Cabinet #2 post? Or better even, post the entire Cabinet name list in the Entmoot Election thread so that if you ever need to, you can go back and edit it. The Teacup threads are closed down so frequently so you can't go back and edit. Just a tip from your legal advisor

Obviously, one of them is the shadow cabinet.

Obviously! Many of Acally's former competitors are indeed listed

I like making green tea. And doing the teaceremony.
Oh, who am I kidding, I love the Japanese sweets that go with it most

I've heard about letting the water for tea sit too but I thought it was for some other reason that I can't quite remember. I already drink green tea almost every day but I think I'll start drinking more too. When I was in Japan, cold green tea out of a bottle was just as common as water. It takes some getting used to having it cold, but I like it.

Green tea cold is pretty good, but nothing beats having cold mint tea!

How 'bout a cold mint julep? Mmm... Or a cold mojito. Also awesome.
