I need some advice, about ice. Ironic that a Norwegian needs advice about ice I know but yep it's true
Tommorrow night's a cocktail party where everyone makes the drinks! and I'm intent on making caipirinha, the best drink in the world, till I can't stand on my feet.. But! I don't know what best way to crush ice? Because in a caipirinha you need lots of crushed ice. To get the 'authentic' stuff I have to buy some packs of ice from the store just before I go but I need to know a simple way of crushing the ice when im at the party or I'll be standing there forever with coooold ice and that's no fun.

Thanks Rian! I wouldn't exactly call it a good time as the trip back was an emergency ending in a funeral... but it had its moments.
How's the Moot been in my absence?

The elusive Flynn
Thanx Rian. Was thinking a bit smaller though, something I can find in a kitchen drawer or something. Though you know if I'm lucky the hostess has a blender! Hopefully.

I'm sorry about the reason for your return to the US. How is your F-I-L?

Okay the joke on me as a Norwegian.. well you know it's a pretty northerly and cold country I live in, with enough ice in the winter to feed the world's refigerators for one thousand years!

Since you made this post, that total has gone down to 999 years due to global warming.

Lol sadly that is way too true! You wouldn't think so if you saw the state of things on the pavement outside my window though. It's a death trap.
Or wait.. does this mean global warming is actually a good thing!? The most exotic tea you can think of.. =)

Yes please. REAL Japanese sencha if you have it. If not, I'll settle for raspberry or mint tea
And can I get you a cookie in return? We have those little sugared pretzel thingies. Someone just warned me to not be cheeky with her or else. I'm completely baffled. "Friendly advice" she called it too. Odd person. Honestly.

I have never tasted Japanese sencha, but I'm sure the well-stocked cupboards of the teacup have it.
*pours Coffeehouse and Mari a cup of fresh tea* Sugar pretzel thingies? Sounds good, I'd love one. And Mari, you can be as cheeky with us as you like.

Thank you. For both the tea and the permission.
*hands Earn a box with the pretzel thingies in them* Have as much as you want! Fact was though, that she started laughing in our faces (I was talking with 2 other people) over us being newbies, so I declined her help which was offered in a very denigrating way. Che, if it's like that I don't need it. Hmmpf! *is still offended by the silly woman who is probably younger than I am anyway*

Thank you! *munches on pretzel thingie*
Heh, that silly girl was probably more offended at you turning down her offer (how dare you not instantly recognise her evident authority and expertise!) than you are over her arrogance.

Hehe, lets hope so. She's in my guild
Once I find out how to get out of the guild, I'll give her a piece of my mind should she be silly again and then leave.

Elven harps, fanfares, drum-rolling!! THE 500TH POST BY NOBLE ELF LORD!! Goal achieved without spamming , do I feel good! Ideas/suggestions for the title?
Yea, I had some real business as well. Yesterday, we got back our preliminal (?) English exams. They are a "demo" A-levels. Mwahahaa... Woulda got an L. (the best mark) With 280 points, which easily rose higher than the L-limit. And teacher read aloud my composition, among with a few other good ones. I chose the title "Art and Us". Wanna read it?

I have an English test next week on Thursday or Friday. I'm going to feel terrible if I don't pass it... It's been 5 years since my last English test at a school... (excepting the IELTS because that wasn't at school really) I wonder what sort of test it is going to be, because if it's all about grammar...
