Couldn't manage the sizing for attachments, but I put a couple of pictures of houses up that I wanted to share.

I'm going to start spamming this thread again, since I got some of my pics up on Photobucket. :P

We canoed past a golf course, and the sky looked good..

I like the golf course one. (And that's a good looking cat.)

He is.. He's also one of the most sympathetic cats I've met. Wouldn't survive for long in the outside world.

Glad you like it.

They're all very nice

but my favorite is the second one of Silvestri.

The texture is fabulous, and it encompasses so much of what people have traditionally loved/hated about cats...the lassitude and the threat.

It's beautifully composed.

Here I go..

Couldn't resist the temptation.

The Key

Amira, the cat we found at the zoological station. She's slowly taking over the whole flat. After all, we named her princess (Amira in Arabic).

I love that rainbow one. Did you happen to be in the right place for those towers to line up, or did you have to move around a bit?

Another cool cat. I'll try to dig up my grandpa's picture of the Bishop library cat, who, incidentally, lives or lived in the library in Bishop. It's rather unclear as to what the actual name of this cat is, as there are two copies of the same picture in each photo album; in one, he's named Tac-Tac, and the other, he's named Ack-Ack. Doesn't bother me, though. If I'm ever curious enough, I'll go visit my aunt Patty, who lives just outside of Bishop, and go to the library.

Maybe while I'm there, I'll go climb Mt. Whitney and visit Manzanaar and South Lake.

I was out biking at the time, so I did move. I just thought it'd be funny somehow to get it like that, the rainbow ending in the church. I got some other photos of the rainbow as well:

This was when it was just starting to emerge..

Cool! I think, after careful consideration, the first one is my favorite.

I got myself a new (and proper) camera - my first systems camera. Just playing around with it now, wait 'til I get to know how to use it properly.

Amira does look extremely feral in that last photograph. But what exactly are the characteristics of a systems camera? Opposed to the normal kind, that is.

Hmm, I've returned home this year with a good 400 digital photos from holiday, I probably should share some of my best...

Depends on what you mean with a normal one.

According to wikipedia:
A system camera is a camera with interchangeable components that constitutes the core of a system. The Nikon F is normally regarded as the first true system camera. System cameras are normally SLRs.

My old one was a compact camera, you see.

EDIT: yes, you should.

Um, right, said the obvious amateur.

But thanks for the explanation, I think I've got it.

You did all of that with a compact camera!
