It is indeed Lindir.

I googled the name and was shocked by the number of results. Even images of the guy. He barely gets a mention by Tolkien yet manages a sort of cult following. Those wacky Elf fangirls.

That said, it's also an easily constructed good-sounding Elvish name. I had a Lindir somewhere in a fanfic, but changed it when I found out there was one for real when re-reading LoTR.
