Hmph. Well, maybe I was father's heir, and not Maitimo...ever think of that? He liked me better anyway.

That Hobbit stage was like torture for me, Aika! It was like getting insulted at every moment.

I liked being a hobbit. I didn't like being a warrior, doesn't quite feel like me somehow
And I thought Sapling sounded rather cute. Perhaps you should give some of your posts to Aika, that'll bring her count up quick enough
But I guess that goes for most of us... *shrinks away*

I'll have some Turkish Delight please! Maybe after jumping on the trampoline though...

Nice to meet you, Aikanáro. Are you a friend of Curu's from elsewhere perhaps?

He was a little obvious in his favoritism - I'd say your father wouldn't have been too happy about upsetting the rightful order of succession though, what with the troubles he had with our uncle...

I can bet you didn't stay a hobbit too long!

Turkish Delight! Lovely! Although I think I'll be bouncy enough already, what with all the caffeine.

Edit: Hi, Katya! Yes, I know Curu quite well. It's her fault I'm here, so blame her if I annoy you all!

*hoards posts like Silmarils*

Be he foe or friend, be he foul or clean,
brood of Morgoth or bright Vala,
Elda or Maia or Aftercomer,
Man yet unborn upon Middle-earth,
neither law, nor love, nor league of swords,
dread nor danger nor [Doom] itself...

Er...maybe not.

Yes, I first met Aika on another messageboard, but we're friends in RL too.

EDIT: Well, it's not my fault I'm the most talented and the most like Father. Even my name shows his favoritism. 'Kurufinwë Atarinkë', of course, in Quenya. 'Kurufinwë' is of course father's name, and 'Atarinkë' meaning 'little father.'

Honestly, if there was nothing to inherit, no one would ever have a reason to bicker... Maybe I should claim inheritance for the sake of peace... No idea what to base that claim on though
*hands Katya and Aika some Turkish Delight* I'll put it on the table, so have as much as you want. I won't join you, because I want to go to sleep in an hour or so which won't happen when I'm overdosed with sugar...

So that's who it is! All this time I thought it was Millerna from Escaflowne. I guess she has curlier hair though. I've never seen Record of Lodoss War. I looked it up just now though.

I don't think posts are shiny enough to warrant hoarding.
*likes shinies*

I see you've also inherited your father's modesty, cousin.

Sleep - I should probably go too, soon, as I have to be up early tomorrow. But I don't think I shall.

Katya, all my avvies are either of Deedlit or of sunflowers
RoLW is a nice series, but I don't particularly recommend it if you don't want to have to think too much while watching. Every episode they keep throwing new and important names and situations at you, requiring you to keep up with just about everything. The interpersonal stories aren't really there, though there is a lot of suggestion and room for interpretation. Actually, I quite like the series, but finding it in Japanese with subs or at all is practically impossible... >_<

Aika, you are an hour behind me right? The UK? In that case you needn't worry yet

Oh, it's definitely on my list of things to watch. 奇跡の海 is from that series isn't it? I love that song.

Oh I love that too! I have almost every song from Sakamoto Maaya, except for the newest ones. I love Park Amsterdam (the whole version)! I think I posted the lyrics in the lyrics thread way back. Her latest vids remind me a bit of the vids from Enya.

I'm in England, yes - but I'm also one of those people who (at this time of year, anyway ) feels they've missed out on part of the day if the sun rises before them. Hence, staying up much past 10PM is fairly rare for me!

I don't think I've watched any of her videos, but I used to listen to my copy of Hotchpotch all the time. Have you heard her voice acting? She did Aeris in the Final Fantasy VII compilation stuff, which I though was just right.

I know she did a lot of voice-acting and I'm sure I've heard some of it, but I haven't played the FF series or watched the movies.

Aika, the sun gets up at 6 or so these days... you get up at that time? I always aim for 8 to 9 o'clock... Though on Mondays I'm on the train at 8 so I'm up earlier then and on days when I have to work mornings...

Wow, I'm not much of an early-riser myself.

Cousin, you sons of Finarfin never cease to amaze me. Not that that is a good thing.

Well, I set my alarm for 5, I'm usually up by 5:30.

On the contrary, I think it a very good thing.

*has played FFVII and liked it a lot*

Oh I'm so happy! Another FF7 fan! As I've told Curu, it's the only thing I might like better than Tolkien.

I used to get up at 6 when I was in Japan but I've been sleeping in way late. I like getting up early, but I like staying up late too. If I had it my way, I'd stay up until 6am every night and wake up at 5am every morning, but that just doesn't work.

Most of my friends aren't in the same timezone, so that pretty much makes me have to be up late in order to talk to them >_< And that even goes for those who do live in the same country... crazy Dutchies...

I think I'm going to try to get back into the habit of getting up early. I like seeing the sun rise, and also, things tend to be open in the morning. Everything's usually closed by the time I'm dressed and ready to go out.
