You know you're an Astronomy geek when you give planets nicknames. Like Pluto, the diameter-challenged planet. Dwarf planet. Hee.

And, by the way, what I am doing is probably completely different from anything you peeps know. We are studying Ptolemy. That's right, we're busy sitting there telling ourseffs that the universe is geocentric. But don't worry, we get to Copernicus later in the year. And Ptolemy is actually pretty damn cool. EDIT: VENT: The Decemberists are having a concert in LA, and it's sold out! I may have to go listen to their new CD a few times to comfort myself.

*utters some censored words addressed to Iceland*
Still, nine fin whales and thirty minks a year is peanuts compared to the bloodbaths the Japanese factory fleet is capable off. Even though it's still nine and thirty too many.

Gah! Starting yesterday, I have three days off school. But I have so much stuff to do, I'm not going to be able to enjoy it. :-(
On the plus side, I'm going to see a ballet tonight. Probably signed up for that too early, but it's too late now...

*smacks head against wall. @#$@#$. Stupid work-related problem. I know how I need to solve it, but damned if I can find the right tools. *sigh*
