How are the translations coming?

I wound up planting a lot of stuff yesterday...I'm feeling hopeful. Need to put in another garden, though.

And you are right. It would probably have taken quite some preparational time and you just have to have "inspiration" to pull a good one.
Speaking of having to have inspiration: I wish this scholar I'm reading for my assignment had had some when he wrote this!

The translation... I did quite some work on it yesterday. Only 9 pages left. If I can get 1,5 page done this week, I should be able to finish it before the end of April, giving me enough time to properly finish the entire thing on the 31st of May. (Only half of the entire thesis is the translation, the rest is supposed to be elaboration, explanation of terms and the field of research, other works, etc.)

What did you plant? Veggies and herbs, or also flowers and the sort?
My Japanese experimental plantings are all dead by the way. Sudden frost, snow, hail, storm, etc. didn't do them much good

(Sorry for this being the third post in a row. I wanted to edit it in, but the subject is too different IMO)

I planted peas with a new obelisk, gladioli, caladiums and oriental lillies. I also planted containers with dianthus, swiss chard, more peas and cabbages.

But it's about time to put in the big vegetable garden.

Oh, sounds nice. I always like the looks of growing cauliflower and broccoli. I like eating those too
You have quite a big garden then.

Too much room. I have a place with landscaping that runs to native plants, an area of small fruits, a separate location that has mostly high summer plantings and a large vegetable garden. And various and sundry other stuff.

It's a thing.

I used to have a large plot at a community garden, as well, but I gave that up.

Okay, so "garden" in English is used for both the garden as a whole and different patches within a garden? I get it then

Thanks!

Um. Possibly, but that's not what I'm saying.

Here, to use a grandiose example.

Longwood Gardens is a reason to buy a plane ticket.
Within Longwood, in the West Garden (outdoor section), you may find

The Idea Garden

The Hillside Garden

And the children's bee garden.

All gardens. Not the same garden.

LOL, it was me. I intended to preview, accidentally posted, and then continued to write the post, all oblivious.

Off to lunch! See you in a bit!
