Far from it Gaffer! I read the books almost twice a year! Im in the middle of Two Towers right now. I read the books every year Starting on my Birthday and I give myself a cut off date to have read them by which is like 3 months later...(it would be weeks o days like the very first time i read it but im getting more busy as i grow older.) So... yeah this is by far not my first time reading LotR, infact I have read the first five History books(Lost Tales - Lost Road) As well as Silmarillion, Unfinished Tales, Sir Gwain and the Green Knight(Nothing to do with LotR but still a Tolkien Sig. book) and The Hobbit. I am planning on reading all the others but havent been to the book store lately.
