This is just messed up... I can't sleep at night! The only time I can seem to sleep is during the day.
The only way I managed to sleep a few nights ago was that I did about three shots of whiskey, and downed two glasses of half sprite/half tequila then went and laid down. The stairs were -spinning- when I went up and it still took me a while to sleep, then I got up bright and early in the morning. The next day I tried to exhaust myself... aaaaaaand... nope. Was laying in bed awake all night till I finally gave in and surfed the net. So now I'm trying staying up all night and through the day, then maybe that will help me get back on 'schedule'. |

Try using Valerian. Helps me a lot when I can't sleep. (not recently though. I also seem to have the "not being able to sleep" bug)
Anyway, it's organic and according to some people it doesn't even work at all, but it works for me.

I actually ended up napping a lot today (which was stupid of me, but oh well), but I'm about to go for a jog, lift some weights, do some yoga, and then read a bit out of an... 'improving' book
 . I promised myself I'd read four 'classics', so I'll just pick something a bit boring to start with any that should help me get to sleep  .If I'm still having trouble after tomorrow night, I think I might try your idea Mari. |

My Vent: Well, I cant seem to just boot this Aptaisia infestation out of my tank, so I'll have to get a peppermint shrimp. Great. I really would rather have not. I have a small tank (transpo) and was really trying to map out what I would put in for the best ecological results. Now I need to get some more shrimp, which is really throwing off my timetable, and now I'm really peeved at this stupid Aptaisia. I wonder if I could just stare it down....

Aptaisia? it is a small, pest anemone that can also sting fish and snails as well as coral (which it can kill) and aesthetic anemones. Causes lots of problems with acclimation and normal fish cycles.

How did you get it?
It sounds like a case of the snails appearing in our small fish thing (too small to call a tank). They always come, apparently they grow out of the food we give the fish... Never mind. Strange comparison. My head isn't functioning properly.

Okay, so we have a small fish thingie, with a few small fish... very small. And we don't really put in new things except for the food off course. But if we place the bowl in the light we start getting snails. And since even after cleaning, the only new thing that goes in is the food we think it might be the food. Well, we, my family does. I'm not sure, but I wouldn't know where else they came from either.
My father made and maintains his own pond. It is going really well, but because the circumstances are too favorable for the fish there are basically too many fish. So he made a bigger pond.
