Nice post LMM. Only two small things.

1. May I ask you to add a sentence. The Chancellor is NOT going to leave the last word to Mahtaliel.

"I ignored nothing," she told him angrily, "You were blantently discourteous when you failed to inform me of this change last night despite having ample oppurtunity to do so!"

The chancellor smiled sarcastically, "Professor, I have more important things to do during the Annual Reception than to discuss schedules with you".

There was an awkward silence. Realizing that the rest of the professors were watching with visible interest, Mahtaliel attempted to calm down.

2. Please, remove "the Chancellor tried to calm down". I figure the Chancellor was quite calm inwardly and was much enjoying the fight.

Good, stubborn old Mahtaliel, I wonder who will prevail in the end...I am much looking forward to that little showdown.

Hurry up, Eärniel, I just checked the schedule and found Rian has classes at 9 and 10!
Wa? I thought there weren't any lessons this first day, just getting scedules, being showed the way around the unif and such. Darn, we were late on the reception, I refuse to be late on the first day! Oh well, I can just do a flash-back, unless you want to handle that scene.

Haven't had much time to get a-writing. Dad's birthday tomorrow and preparations (dinner for nine, clean house, cleaned aquaria ect...) have kept me busy.

Yes, should be interesting.

No, you had wanted to do it, and I think you'll do it much better than I could, so please go ahead. If you can't get to it by tomorrow, maybe we can move it to a flash-back. In the meantime, I guess we'll have another cup of tea at the Red Herring

(mergh - I'm getting tired of writing scenes with my own characters - rpg-Rian's been in a tough place up until now because I couldn't really interact with the Orrodel people or I might have found out some of their secrets (and besides, they avoided her, as is entirely natural). I can't wait for classes to start!)

dear Rian ...(and poor mahtaliel) ..did the chancellor or galadanun or jas or uncle tom cobbley (and all ...) forget to mention she's taking commerce??

...don't worry - it's not till tuesday 250pm .... and old bumble is bound to be late anyway ....

any problems just infer to bumble you told him last night .. he'll assume he forgot ... he'll be so frazzeled when he sees his new class anyway ... i doubt it will matter ...

well as the university motto goes ....

Can she take Commerce? She wasn't signed up, and she didn't end up talking with Bumble so he couldn't speak to the Chancellor for her, and I doubt if the Chancellor would let her take it now ... I'd sure like to, but do you think it's ok rpg-wise?

yup ... just turn up and tell bumble he ok'd it last night ....

all there is to it.

(i can see no reason why the chancellor would care one way or the other ... except being amused another girl / lady joins the class) and mathaliel is not likely to restrict you ..barring the annoyance or not of re-writing another bit of paperwork! )

ok, thanks, that would be fun Maybe I can just audit the class so poor Prof. M. won't have to rewrite things.

audit??

in commerce???

...what does that mean???

nah, just join in!

im not sure old bumble likes all these new fangled third age concepts and words like ..."audit" ... commerce to bumble is more like a game of poker ... you win some some you lose some ... but the trick is to learn how to win em' ...

well, im off to bed

*sigh* I think they can forego the paperwork if it's just one class. Just don't tell the Chancellor.

Gor, I can see your post

Whew, thanks for the dress, Eärniel! Could you please write the post where the guys go to the inn? I like how you write for your friends and I want to see what you'll do with them. Just have my guys say the usual polite things, and put in whatever you want. I'll probably have them bop around town a bit first if you don't get to it soon.

I hope your dad's bday went well!

Great post, BB I love your dialogue. And "Watson" was hilarious!
Let Barliman talk to his dog, while "deducing": every Holmes needs his Watson.

Sad, that I haven't insisted on you posting about Boom and the Chancellor. This scene is now missing. I mentioned "spies" but it is not the same...

Lotesse! Is it indeed your birthday? Congratulations and best wishes!
Please, come back soon, we are missing your input badly.
And where is Sane? and her long-awaited race post?
