Nope. That answer does not fit all the clues. Please try again.

P.S. It's nice to see you again Val, old pal!

-this has nothing to do with riddling-
hey dad! haha, this is weird...
you need to teach me a thing or two about riddling. I need to own up to your 'legacy'

Okay, while I'm on this little food fixation try this one out...

Another Middle-Earth Menu

In Middle-Earth there's much to eat,
but some who walk won't take their meat
(unless it's warmed by it's body's heat).

Also, this riddle has yet to be solved:

Precious treasure carried far
settled score from journey's scar.

Both old and new kept close within,
hidden deep and touching skin.

The One Ring?
Hello Coffeehouse! Thank you for participating. A good guess, it fits many of the clues, but alas, it is not the answer I seek. Please try again.

Ah, that too fits some of the clues, and also was guessed by Valandil up there.

It is not the coat, and it's not the ring. Who stands next to guess at this thing?

First one / new one: Spiders?

Second one / old one: Phial of Galadriel?

Spiders is correct! They will only eat live food. Well done, Val!

As for the second one, it is not what I seek although a good case could be made for the phial - which matches nearly every clue.

-It was carried a long way, close to the skin.
-It holds the the ancient light of the Silmaril enclosed in a newly wrought casing.

However, it does not settle any score from journey's scars.

Keep trying. Soon y'all will reason it out...

Yes - settling the score from a journey's scar is a tough one. I wasn't sure how you meant that: whether in it's making, in it's wearing, or in some action that took place with it - and whether any of the previous guesses might in some way fulfill one of those three.

The white gem on a silver chain which Arwen took off her own neck and placed on Frodo's? Soon after she and Aragorn were married at Minas Tirith?

It's not the gem.

Here's a clue... The number of the treasures equals two.

Another clue... This is a LOTR riddle.

Is it...

PIPPIN'S PIPE THAT HE LENT TO GIMLI????

Hee hee... sorry... I got excited... I was going to type something about the food they found in the guard tower, or the pipeweed given to Saruman... but then that just popped into my head and I got excited.

Well, and the other treasure would be his own favorite pipe...

"I keep a treasure or two near my skin, as precious as Rings to me. Here's one: my old wooden pipe. And here's another: an unused one. I have carried it a long way.... ...Does this settle the score between us?"

So spoke Peregrin Took to Gimli, son of Gloin. Well done, Midge! You have guessed the answer, which is Pippin's pipes!

the "settled score" part reminded me of something.

Apparently, that was it.

Three seats made of grass
set up for some royal ***.

Can you say for who they be?
These scions of nobility?
