Ooooh! Cinnamon pancakes! Yum yum! *barely manages not to drool*
Tea! Yes, let's have a cup

I'm about to start making cakes: an applecrumble pie and a peach-cheesecake. Busy day tomorrow and lots of people coming over! Wow, it's finally going to happen...! *is talking about her Confirmation*

That's great, Mari! Good luck with your Confirmation - and with the cooking! Now I'm craving apple pie, too.

I had the strangest day at school last week. The kids were so funny - several kept insisting that 'fish' was a color - the color a fish is.

That and they were being taught a song that included the line 'no more crying, no more sorrow.' They all heard this as 'no more crying, oloshoro,' (Kimaasai for 'porridge') and kept laughing every time it came up!

I love teaching.

The Netherlands isn't big on donuts.
I found a recipie by Paula Dean for French Quarter style ones (if there are styles) they come out sorta like fry bread.

What was your confirmation for Mari?

Church! Today I got Confirmed into my church, i.e. I took my responsibility as a Christian towards God, church and the world upon my own shoulders. Before, I was baptized, meaning my parents and the church community carried that responsibility for me.
I can now also take official tasks within the church upon my shoulders, should I want to do that.

It was a wonderful service (though a tad long >_<) and I got lots of pressies for both my Confirmation and my birthday!
I'll post a piccie of THE moment when I have it

Wii fit is indeed amazing, but wait until you start playing Tomb Raider, it's even more amazing! Took me two days to beat! The graphics are amazing, and so is the gameplay! But just wait until you play Twilight Princess, oh, you must get it

(man, I am way in my element )

Ugh, don't remind me. We still have that 1000 piece Tutanchamun puzzle we never managed to even lay the border for. I'm still convinced not all the pieces are right, we've tried for days.
