I'm with Varna; Valentine's is good, because it results in Cheap Chocolate Day on the 15th.

Well I think it's a bit silly not to celebrate a holiday just because it's something you can do any other day of the year, but I think we've had this conversation before and I'm sure none of us are particularly riled up to debate Valentines Day all over again.
I, for one, intend to thoroughly enjoy my Valentine's Day. And a big, un-Valentines-Day-Related to all my fellow 'mooters. |

What a great idea - to celebrate Valandil's Day while we're waiting for the cheap chocolate!

Speaking of--did anyone else think it was weird they used Audrey to be "unphotograhable"? One of the most beautiful women ever?

You know, it's appalling how long it can feel to be gone for only three weeks from the 'Moot...

Hi Midge! Welcome back.
I finally got a chance to go to the Renaissance Festival!!! It was about 2 hours away. I had SUCH a blast!!!! I went with my sister, which was fun, but I'm going again in a few weeks with some of my slightly less... shall we say... prudish friends. I think it's going to be a super blast. I had a great time but (for example) my sister was offended to the point of speechlessness when she heard a sausage vendor yelling, "Meat! Meat to put in your mouth! Buy a sausage!" Which I thought was hysterical, but she totally froze up. There's nothing wrong with being a prude. But it's not the best attitude to have when attending a Renaissance Festival. |

Hello everyone! Just wanted to stop by, say hello, and encourage everyone in their individual pursuits! I've neglected Tolkien the past few months b/c all of my time is spent running, studying, and sleeping. But, here's some fruity inspiration -in the form of translated sindarin, of course- for anyone in a rut right now. Summer will come! And I miss you all!
“When Summer lies upon the world, and in a noon of gold, Beneath the roof of sleeping leaves the dreams of trees unfold; When woodland halls are green and cool, and wind is in the West, Come back to me! Come back to me, and say my land is best!” ― J.R.R. Tolkien

Welcome back, however briefly, Elleth.
So I need to sign up for a credit card... anyone have any suggestions? I've been trying to do some research on it and frankly now I'm just confused. |
