OHH, been away for awhile and there is quite a LOT of GREAT posts!
Serenoli, Sane, TD, Sun, Udu and Gor! Just read it! TD what a story! How many orcs did Khamul kill? A thousand? And all single-handedly? Tolvadok flirts, Marty turned to wisdom! NOOO! Oreturion drinking! Sapthan, what a guy! Dungeons! Ghosts! I liked your new ghost, Gordis. Eeeevil Elendil! And the dwarf story. And Sapthan's worship of Morgoth. So, now we are sleeping? Tuesday approaching? Now Khamul and Udu! WHAT ABOUT LILLY??? Have you decided anything? Quote:
I thought you were enticed by LILLY!!! . Want some love potion, Marty, dearie? I will ask Gordie to get me some. |

About 1000, but it wasn't a straight battle, most were hunted.
As far as Lily goes we haven't decided anything for certain yet, but we are currently seeing somethings that may be suitable.

I think we might be done with Monday. It looks like the ML and his group are done. If Marty and Oreturion are done talking, then I think that's all - let's close down the day. What a long day! One of my elfs is wandering in the streets (armed and wary, of course) but he can just head back to bed if everyone else is ready to close the day down.

TD, what a brilliant post! I am very bad at doing dialogue, and I always like how you always do them well. And Khamul's story was very very good!
Sane and Sun, its good to see Marty and Oreturion again after such a break. I liked how you the writing styles of the two of you are similar, so there seems to be no break when going from one post to the other. Udu, Sapthan is certainly intriguing. And what a truly horrifying description of those rituals... the very thought of all that blood and doing something like that to oneself... I'm still shuddering. Gordis, its good you've given us a guided tour. I did see the map of the library, but I never really understood it very well. Nice ghostly touch... and what does the Chancellor do in his lab? Hopefully no blood sacrifices... And, BB, come back.

Well, I try to adapt to other people's writing style when I have to use their characters. Little smoother that way.

Interesting post, Rian,. Whom to you plan to meet in the Gardens? Sapthan? Or the Chancellor? Aiwendis, I am afraid, will not be around.

No definite plans ... just some possibilities ... basically just wanted to portray an experienced fighter with instincts that are nudging him, and a loving brother and friend that has been deeply affected by the events in the last 24 hours and can't sleep. It's mostly the latter that is keeping him from sleeping (and that's a characteristic of mine - on eventful days, when I try to go to bed, I can't sleep because my mind is going a million miles a minute), but because of that, the former (nudges from his warrior side that unconsciously notices anomolies) is starting to come onto the radar screen.
Hey, talking about anomolies, I've written 2 short posts in a row!

Ah, Udu, you are there!
There is an Elf spying in the University gardens. Sapthan is sitting right there near the fountain. Do you think Sapthan will approach Alagos and send him away, or he will let him spy? I don't think Sapthan likes elves anymore than any of the the Ulairi... |

Those are very cool posts, Gordis & Udu. So, our Morgul Lord can actually give a body to a ghost to use? That's such a cool concept; I'd never have thought of that. I like how ML used the dwarves of Moria, and then dispatched them so skillfully on their journey back, that was very professional. Also, I really enjoyed the description & tour of that dungeon, and the oh-so-creepy Sapthan doing his weird pagan dark-ritual stuff.

As for the Elf, he could be anywhere in the gardens. Rian is never very specific. Quote:

Corpses can be possessed by wandering spirits. This is the interpretation of what happened to the Hobbits in the Barrow Downs - evil spirits inhabiting the bodies of Dunedain. Sapthân worries about things like that happening to him, but it does not keep him from trying to consult disembodied fëar. |

And yes, the dwarves... It is a long road to Moria, by Swanfleet (very dangerous place, and those Elves hate Dwarves), along the Glanduin and the Sirannon... By the way,now that I think about it, it is VERY CLEVER that Serenoli made a Dwarf appear in Tharbad. The main road from Moria to the Blue Mountains passes through Tharbad. There should be a lot of travelling dwarves around! And this one, perhaps, he is a relative of those who rebuilt the Library, but never returned? |
