See, now that's a true friend, but if all the fun & interesting people are gonna be elsewhere, what would be the point in staying?

Personally I'm only popping in to say hello to a few people, learn to play the harp and see if God realley does look like Charlton Heston

Pulled another thread off-topic .......... oops

New part to my sig:

Quote:

-Gwaimir Windgem
Something Gwai said to me. I'm also considering putting something about my gender in my sig too, seeing as it seems to be a confusing topic for some.

You could take the incentive from Tessar.

Note. To: All. From: Tessar. Subject: I AM A BOY.

I've added a new part to my sig, quoting a certain Temptress' fave singer... (a little bit changed to accomodate my needs, but)

Quote:
"Lalaith and I have an amazing, wonderful, friendship in the sense that it's a connection that neither of us can quite put out finger on it."

I agree. Three lines should be enough for a sig....in my opinion!

That's why I have sig's turned off. I hate it when they exceed three lines, which they often do.

Yes! I did that for a long time. (turned off sigs) If they start getting too long again, with big print, I'll go back to the turn off. It's hard to read posts with all the sig stuff to scroll through repeatedly!

Yeah. Mine's a little longer than three, but it's short enough. I don't like huge sigs that are filled with pointless stuff and take up the whole page. I put one or two interesting things in and try to keep it short.

I knew that I heard this sentence before ... and now that I read it, I remember again.
Thanks, I love it.

Yup, three is about right......over five is pushing it a bit :/

If you have a favourite quote or a poem you want to show to the 'moot, plenty of threads available to post it in

I need some new links for my siggy........my fave site for providing them has gone offline (and I'm too lazy to search through Google).

I have three things in my sig:

"Thereafter shall the Silmarils be recovered out of sea and earth and air; for Eärendel shall descend and yield up that flame that he hath had in keeping. Then Fëanor shall bear the Three and yield them unto Yavanna Palúrien; and she will break them and with their fire rekindle the Two Trees, and a great light shall come forth; and the Mountains of Valinor shall be levelled, so that the light goes out over all the world. In that light the Gods will again grow young, and the Elves awake and all their dead arise, and the purpose of Ilúvatar be fulfilled concerning them."

"Ah, it is the fault of our science that it wants to explain all, and if it explain not, then it says there is nothing to explain."
-Professor Abraham Van Helsing, Dracula

It must be Spring. The Knights are getting shorter.

Two I've already explained. The third I'll leave, to see if anyone knows where it's from.

Coney, I love that line in your sig: Blessed be the cracked, they let the light in

My newest stuff

I’ve got a lovely box of matches, dittly-dee, there they go lit and thrown one by one, one home, two home, lets burn a couple more...

This came to me while I wrote my LOTR parody

Read my FP.net story!!!

Well, go read it!

Taking the words "boy crazy" to the next level.

I think I'm the most boy crazy girl in the world. I'm the only girl I've ever heard of that knows about the cute guy three blocks down and knows what time he walks his dog and circals his block in hopes of seeing him. Cute boys are hard to find here in Hick-vill so when you do find one, you must look at him, a lot.

I added a line from Tolkien: Man and Myth which especially sprung out at me:

Quote:
For Tolkien, Catholicism was not an opinion to which one subscribed, but a reality to which one submitted.

Life... is like a box of chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless, perfunctory gift that nobody ever asks for. Unreturnable, because all you get back is another box of chocolates. You're stuck with this undefinable whipped-mint crap that you mindlessly wolf down when there's nothing else left to eat. Sure, once in a while, there's a peanut butter cup, or an English toffee. But they're gone too fast, the taste is fleeting. So you end up with nothing but broken bits, filled with hardened jelly and teeth-crunching nuts, and if you're desperate enough to eat those, all you've got left is a... is an empty box... filled with useless, brown paper wrappers.
I thought it was hilarious, and oh so true.

Khamûl, is that Space Ghost as your avatar?

I agree about the long sigs. However. I'm not giving mine up.
