Ah... close with wind (Lord=Manwe) and water (Lord=Ulmo). Sibling... sibling... It's probably SO very obvious. Like... light or something. Bound within Arda. There's probably light without Arda, though. And if there isn't, it doesn't explicitly say that. What does it explicitly say is bound within Arda? Not a race... you said it's an IT. So... IT is bound within Arda.. is probably explicitly stated that it's bound within Arda.. otherwords it's not outside of Arda... which is.. what? What exactly is Arda? I'm checking.

It's not the Music of the Ainur, is it? I don't think that fits, though.

Uh... Does that mean it has something to do with the Beginning of time, like the firstish part of the Silmarillion? A simple yes or no will do. Because if it's yes, then we can rule out the other things from other books... it shouldn't give away too much; I've been looking at that point of view and I can't think of anything.
