The had a bunch of "Thin Man" movies on the TCM channel (satilite) this weekend...never seen them before, but wow, excellent movies! After the Thin Man was soooo funny, and I think that's what is so awsome about these flicks the humor holds. I'd own the 'lot' of them if they're available...need to check 'Best Buy' next time I'm in Vermont. Great movies!

Just watched Batman Begins today. WOW! Awesome. I loved the effects and the storyline. In my opinion, it's the best Batman movie ever made! Watch it, people...

Just saw Bewitched, decent film...nothing to rave about, but quite funny.

I think Nicole Kidman is spectacular.

War of the Worlds - Decent movie...Tom Cruise actually does quite well. Again...nothing super, but quite good.

Run, Lola, Run

*stunned moment of silence* Wow, I've watched that movie the last two nights, it's just so awsome! I love this flick! One to own, I believe. Can't believe I've never seen it before.

Earthbound, Run Lola Run is the bomb movie, huh? I bought the soundtrack ages ago, and still love it. Very, very cool film.

I love that movie! I haven't seen Run Lola Run in ages.

I recently saw "Sideways", - great movie! I don't know why it was billed as a comedy (maybe it wasn't), because while it did have funny scenes, many were bittersweet, and ultimately it was a thoughtful movie that was even a bit sad. The two main characters were very interesting. They got themselves into a lot of scrapes, but unlike many Hollywood movies, they paid the consequences for their actions (well, Jack did, but Miles didn't 100%).
It's nice watching a movie where the protagonists are morally bankrupt arseholes who don't get life handed to them on a silver platter.
It's a very thought-provoking and interesting movie. I give it 4 out of 5 Moot Twigs.

Last movie I saw was Europtrip; which was stupid, clichéfilled and (sometimes) funny.

Sideways was a good flick....I loved it when he drove the car into the tree....LOL Was surprised by how bad he got beat up, liked the ending to this movie, usually these dark comedys love to end horribly...but this was good.

I just watched Garden State for the second time. Amazing movie, that. Listening to the soundtrack right now, which rocks out loud.

War of the Worlds...

Not bad, entertaining with good effects, and I cared whether the family made it or not....but, the ending was unbelievable, as in
everyone survives!
, I thought that the mood and antics of the population where very accurate. Sad, but true kinda thing.

I saw Batman Begins. I'm prepared to put my dislaike for it down the fact I was watching it in a language I didn't really understand...

No, I thought it was okay, I'm just resigned to the fact that I don't enjoy the movie experience.

Did Batman Begin to bore you? I haven't seen it myself, but I gotta say, if any film truly is a work of art, then it will appeal to people on a gut level, transcending language barriers. So, if you were unimpressed, perhaps it really wasn't art? Just a thought, what do you all think?

For instance, I can watch Akira Kurosawa's films without subtitles being necessary, because the films he made appeal to me viscerally.

I saw a small part of "Big Fish", not enough to wet my appitite. Anyone here have any opinions? Should I go rent it?
