Ah, well, he told me after the fact; he just didn't have time to tell me when he did it, but it's all good now. Apparantly someone took issue with how I expressed myself. What's new?

A little thought before posting always helps. Also, ususally there is a reason attached and visible on the post deleted or edited.

Yeah, real helpful - he's soft-deleting them, and leaving helpful little comments to chastise us, that we can't even read. *laff*

vent: I'm sure there was one... oh yeah, why does work have to be so friggin political

Okay guys, we'll just say this:

watch the language.

Mods, if a post can be edited by removing the offensive language, then do that and leave a little note under your edit tags - [a warning or a reason] I had to do one of these in a thread the other day. Edit out the bad words and replace in brackets useing the bold tags. Example:

[Expletive Deleted]
[Flame Deleted]

and so on.

We will always try to save the post with just an edit. If that isn't possible, and a post must be deleted the member should be notified with a warning and reason for the deletion.

Now that said: carry on with the vents.

Vent: seems I can't go with my friends to Rome next April yeah, I can understand if "outsiders" aren't allowed in a school-organized trip... but then why did they say first that I can go too? Bummer.

Anti-vent: it's snowing, it's SO beautiful... At last

*toasts SGH*

vent: Flubber! Dammit all, where did that stupid dog take my scarves!? I swear, he has a fetish for scarves. Since he is a short hair, not to mention a colossal ninny, i go and get him kids clothes, like sweaters and vests and put those on him when we go for walks (its quite cold, and trust me, for a pitbull that is hell) so, i decided to give him a scarf to go with it, surprisingly enough, he doesnt mind and actually enjoys it.

(either that or freeze) but the little fart has taken to running off with my scarves, and i usually find them in his little nest by the heater. And he only takes certain scarves...mainly my warm fleece or cashmire ones my father gave me...Now I cant find them and i have to go out!

He is no puppy, he's 7 years old! AND HUGE! but he acts like cat and is the sweetest thing around...though he does get jealous sometimes if other people are getting the attention and not him.

Yes, he is a little hoarder...shortly after that post i saw him running around with one like it was a flag, Hapoo was chasing after him trying to steal it...

Vent: My grandma was at home when I got there today.
Anti-vent: My grandma was at home when I got there today!

Yep. I probably shouldn't have said what I said. Ah, Sithspit (there, that's not so bad)! I knew finding that SW slang page would have carried me away. But I still would say the same about the same people, though next time I would use a more vague wording.

I'm curious, and I'm not trying to be smart or defiant or anything, but how is there any difference between saying an entire curse word or censoring it? You still know what word falls in place, and you still get the same point accross! What a confusing world we live in! (I sent some of you an e-mail that supports that last statement, even if you don't live in America, though most of the recipients don't.)

Sithspit? That's kinda like saying Sauron's Snot? I like, its fun to come up with ME swearwords.

I didn't think you were trying to be defiant.

Like I said: I try to be very open-handed about that kind of thing in the venting thread, but I had complaints about those two posts in particular. It has nothing to do with one being any better or worse than the other.

The Vbulletin software uses a censor filter which catches certian words and replaces them with ****. When a member posts, say, the "f" word, the censor will not let it through. When members type the "f" in, it appears which then there is no doubt what that word is. This is altering the censor and is against the rules. Entmoot is pretty lenient with censoring, however words that are totally censored out are not permitted, and finding ways around the filter is a violation. That's the difference.

Now is a good a time as any to remember this little thread - the line at the Redondo Beach post office just now was way, way longer than I ever could have anticipated at all. People were triple-parking all over the place; queuing all the way to literally outside. I took one look at the state of things there and turned around and left. Found stamps for sale at an uncrowded little postal annex store.

Ah, yes. Nothing says Christmas season like ten-mile long lines and triple parking....

I just don't know what I'm doing wrong .

During the school semester my sister and I got along really well and we had all kinds of fun together. We'd just chat and talk for ages while we waited for the bus, or ate together before leaving collage for choir, or even just driving home.

Now over the break she's turned into little Miss. PMS. I can't do -anything- right, I'm always an annoyance to her, and she doesn't want to talk to me or do anything.

I had to practically drag her hand and foot to put up the christmas tree, and then she was laughing and having a great time putting it up. As soon as we were done she was back to rolling her eyes at me and ignoring me.

Today we were decorating the tree, AGAIN I had to drag her hand and foot, and then she was just rude and acted like a jerk to me the entire time. Now she's off sulking while playing her video games. After everything I've done for her... she could at least be polite instead of acting like I'm some huge, horrible person who's FORCING her to do things she doesn't want to do. Oh, except for the fact that she has a great time doing them until they're over and she remembers she's supposed to be angry with me.

How long's this been going on for?

You know, if it really is PMS, she may realise that she's being a bitch but she can't help it. When I'm like that, I try to be calm, but all it takes is one little annoyance and I can blow up. I wouldn't take it too personally - those hormones do wonderful things to your mood. :/

If it's definitely not that time of the month, maybe you could try tactfully asking her what's been bothering her? I don't know.
