OK. Let's see ... tell me the name of Gandalf in the south, and the 2 possible meanings of that name.

Inkanos. One is 'the spy from the north' and the other is 'grey haired (with grey hair...)'

Right. Incánus = 'grey haired' or 'north spy'.
Your go.

You 're right. I'm not sure if you're precise but... it's generally right. Your turn.

The necklace of the Dwarves. It was made by the Dwarves for Finrod, and later given to Thingol by Húrin.

Hmm - If Gimli isn't son of Glóin the Dwarf, who is he then?

Yes.
OK, let me rephrase it. Tolkien had a habit of reusing names. There's another Gimli in his works, other than the well-known Gimli son of Glóin. The question is, who is the other Gimli?

Yes, Gimli was an Elf in The Tale of Tinúviel. He was one of Tevildo's slaves.
OK, I admit this one was difficult. Have a go Ruinel.

Ruinel I don't know the answer. The question wasn't in the thread (I think). Is it in the appendixes? (I haven't read all of them)

Nobody answered the question, so I'm going to ask another one.

What's the original name of Gil-Galad?

"Ereinion was given the name Gil-galad 'Star of Radiance' because his helm and mail, and his shield overlaid with silver and set with a device of white stars, shone from afar like a star in sunlight or moonlight, and could be seen by Elvish eyes at a great distance if he stood upon a height."

Gil-Galad was his epesse- 'after name' a name given as a title or honor that might be generally used in later song and story.
