Poor Quickleaf. Nami and Tabril should be alright, as long as they steer clear of the subject of their menfolk. And I like Nami's latest suggestion!

And Nami, Baru and Tabril could talk together or in twos - the main thing is that they don't get anything done which moves the story forwards without the others.

Well, endless talk without moving forward is one of the specialties of this group I suppose *is thinking of how long this RP has been going on and how 'far' we've progressed in the story...*

He has gone in and out of it at times, hasn't he?
And as readers of the story, we know that he will come out of it again, but his fellow characters think he's in it

It'll be two years in September, if I'm not mistaken. Still, we've progressed in the story further than you'd expect. We came from Rhosgobel to Dol Guldur, detoured through the village of the East Bight and rafted down the Celduin to the Carnen-river. That's quite some months' worth of travel. I'm in another RPG in which we role played barely a week in game time over the course of several months in real time, so I think Long Lost Leaves isn't doing too badly!

My worst experience was playing one morning in game time (the morning where all the characters who had been introduced in twos and threes, finally met up) over eight months in real time.
That might have contributed to (or been caused by) many of them losing interest. None of the others are playing in that RP any more. But then most of them have left the board where we played, too.

No horse tricks? The Riders tend to have a good reputation concerning their horses.

There's Baru the singer (and I didn't invent that for this RP, it's been in her profile for five years).

Radagast will certainly do something. I'm thinking either something with fireworks or birds. Best not to combine them. The Ents should show off something too. (Which reminds me, does anyone know where Midge went? I haven't seen her around for quite a while.)
Barufiniel has volunteered, Carnehillion has thought about it. Mari has said Elyssa might be able to do something if Elyssa can be convinced that the entertainment isn't meant to be torture. So that makes five entertainers so far, more or less. But considering the acts would fall in the summer months when plot will be more or less put on hold, there's no limit on how many people could take up an act. You don't have to, but everybody is welcome to try. And we don't have to take something different each, we can have a couple of singers, or a several story tellers, etc. The tradition from where they come from should result in different stories and songs anyway. You could see it as an opportunity, a challenge if you will, to write something a little different than usual game posts where we travel, fight or just talk. It might be fun to do, if you give it a bit of thought. The Ultai are humans, who never travel far or have much to do with other people. The possibilities to surprise them are endless. The Elves among us can do something with their better eye-sight or balance. Remember how easily Haldir and his friends crossed the river in Lothlorien over a single rope, so no Elf should have special skills to think of balancing on ropes that could impress non-Elves. Fighting techniques or even the design of horse-gear from Gondor or Rohan would already be different from what the Ultai know. Maybe even things like cooking alien dishes, descriptions of far-away lands, or heck even demonstrations of masonry or tunneling may interest them.

For as far as I know, Midge took an indefinite break from fora etc.
I'll ask her if I see her online sometime. If anyone wants, you can spar with Ellysa. There probably aren't too many stickfighters, and Ellysa is pretty good at it. If you remember earlier on in the RP she sparred with Sas' dwarf (forgot his name) and he kept falling on his behind without being able to touch her. She can also play around with the bo by herself. Climb in it and make salto's with it and stuff. *may have watched too many Circus shows around Christmas and New Year and Japanese martial arts anime*

Speaking of Sas, anyone seen him lately?
Hmm. Mari, Ellysa could prolly demonstrate her talent at blocking arrows with her bo? Quote:
