Evil twin thing seems to be settled. Finally, I get a real part. I'll send More Or Less Good Tano out to quest, and I'll sit back and wait for her....
I agree, telepathic communication is just not right for this RPG. This isn't a D&D style fantasy quest...it's a parody of Tolkien, and "mindspeech" (as some of the pathetic fantasy novels put it) doesn't seem to have a place here. Plus, if one person has it, and another doesn't, there is a unfair advantange there. And it's just annoying. (No, it's not just you, EG!) -tano

Thanks, guys. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one annoyed by it And I think a few of the horses and ponies saying something occasionally could be really funny.
Yay! It's so fun laying in wait for my good twin....heh heh heh *evil laughter*

But if you're refering to THE Idril Celebrindal from Gondolin, I'd say she was Noldorin royalty and we're plain human. *glances at EG, Tano and NQ* Human with slight evil tendencies. But human nevertheless. Wild magic doesn't really fit with the TLA, me thinks.

Methinks the lady needs to get a pony, or attach herself onto the back of someone else's.

I'd gladly share Touchstone but he's rather small...and cute!
(he's actually a pony from the Woodland Park Zoo. I had to rename him though.)

I reeeaaaallly like the Smaugette/evil twin idea. Since I don't have an evil twin, can I send my evil alter ego/friend/enemy Jessica?

I've solved your problem Katt. You can ride with one of us, you can change once in a while so we don't burden one animal too much. (Gosh I'm using logic here! ) Unless you of course find yourself your very own pony.
Oh, come on Claenoic, you have to have at least some evil traits. But if you really want to the 'evil alter ego/friend/enemy Jessica' it's OK with me.

Works for me. I'll make Freak be nice. Kitty?
By the way, we will be without a Zandalf for a little while...I am still waiting to find out whether I can take over his character for the time when he's not here.

Yay!!! The Smaugettes live! I like the evil twin thing. Heh... meet Smaugalena. Mwahahahahahaa!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, and if the horses need to say something they can say it out loud. Talking critters or intelligent critters are funny plot devices, but telepathetic animals bug me. They do not have a place in a Tolkien parody. Sorry to anyone who disagrees, but it's the truth.

I was kind of waiting until you would do your scene with the trolls, Claenoic. But if no one posted tonight, I'll have a go at it.
What's with the waving threateningly with PM's?

Claenoic posted...and then I did a rather long one. *sheepish grin* But I remembered all this dialogue, and, well...*shrugs*
By the way, Zandalf has not been around and will not be for an undetermined but hopefully short amount of time. He has said I can be Zandalf for that time. So bow down before my multi-personality-ness. -tano
