I got accepted into a creative fiction writing course for next semester!!! Luckily, I wasn't required to take Sophomore english first! (that would require another year of waiting!)

I've been waiting to take a course like this for what seems like an eternity! (even though my early morning math class has virtually become a creative writing class, since that's all I ever do in there)

We got a much larger tax return back than we expected! Now I think we'll be able to put some adaptations in our pool so that our middle son (the one with the handicaps) will be able to enjoy it more

EDIT - hey Tuinor, nice sig!

Nurv! You are here too! *huge grin*
Perhaps we should organize a reunion sometime. Everyone online on a certain date and time or something

Woohoo! I did great on my debate! I suspect I'll get a grade ranging between 7 and 8, good enough.
The conversation... went not so great, but much better then expected

Yup, I'm up and walking. My back gets a bit tired, but that's probably just because I've been using strange muscles when I've tried to avoid the strained one. I'll appreciate being able to walk more now, though.

Thanks for your concern.

I am eating a Milky Way for the first time in ages. I've been avoiding candy bars when possible and opting for Three Musketeers if I have too. Call it futile, but it has a little less fat than a Milky Way and I figured every little bit would help. Anyway, I've been real nervous about trying the new Milky Way, with more caramel, apparently. I wasn't fully convinced that it actually had any more than it did before, since the nutrition facts still read exactly the same. I hoped that it would'nt have much more caramel. Sometimes it's just too much, like Double Stuff Oreos. But, it's really not bad. It tastes a little like a Cadbury caramel egg. I still prefer the old way, but it's not nearly as bad as I feared. It's close enough that the difference might still just be in my mind.

I'm so happy! I worked at a great place today! It has ME written all over it.
I worked here and from my workplace I could oversee the lake and lots of flowers!!!
I got the opportunity to practice my French, German, English and even some Italian (the only things I can do in Italian is counting, but today I also learned the Italian for herring and a little and onion.)
Saw a lot of Japanese and Chinese, Sri Lankan, Indian and other nationalities as well
What I've been doing all day? ... I sold herring on a roll... And I don't like fish. Yeah, I know I tapped my first good beers today as well
I have to work there again on Saturday when they are going to have a flower-parade and expect 60.000 visitors! Dear lord, save me...
*thinks of the flowers to try and forget about the sheer number of guests*

Herring eh? We eat a lot of that where I come from! But we call it sill or strömming.
I think I'm going to visit the refridgerator and have a piece of herring right away

edit: By the way, you lived in Japan for I don't know how long and yet you say you don't like fish? Then what did you eat over there?

Here herring is called haring. Enjoy your sill!

I lived there for a year and I ate a lot of pork and undefined meat. Well, a lot... I only ate meat because it was in the menu I ordered, or because the girl I had dinner with needed to eat meat. Personally I can live on rice with lots of veggies and meat only once a week or so.

I don't eat that much meat myself- I tend toward a sort of vegan diet. But I loooooove yakiniku! My host families always teased me because I'd eat mostly the strips of meat whenever we had yakiniku or sukiyaki. Mmmm.

Happy- it's another beautiful spring day, and I'm wearing a light little tank top perfectly comfortably. Bright sunny days always improve my mood drastically. Does that make me feel like a machine? I don't mind. I just love it.

Once upon a time, there was a student who craved to be finished with school for the summer. Then that student realized that almost all of his tests and presentations were happening and that he was going to be done. YAY

The wonderful thing about this story, is that it's real, and it's happening to me!!

Well done, Prince.

I'm surprised that I'm happy to leave the field station and go to Helsinki for a couple of days, but I am. It'll be nice to meet some friends.. Usually I don't want to leave here, because I can have my peace and be alone, but seems I can't this year.. But I'm sure I'll make sure that goes back to the way it should be. X)

And many would probably not be as happy to go to a party at a vegetarian absolutist's place, but I do. It'll be so nice..
