I haven't seen the second one
Well we didn't get a white Christmas got a few snowflakes but barely enough to notice. Hubby bought me Vampires Suck, The A-Team (although I really think he bought that for himself XD) and the Legend of the Guardians I got him a couple of shirts and three model sets. Of course I forgot the aint and glue to go with it lol

Aye, Mari, first Fantasia. It's just that in Finnish, "fantasy" is "fantasia". So I didn't expect them to be the same.
But I liked it a lot.

It's fantasie in Dutch. Sometimes you look at languages and think they all just may have the same origins
It would be cool if there was just 1 primeval language, wouldn't it? I'd love to know which current day lingo still is closest to it.

It would be more logical if it would blow the Christmas hat away. After all, the last day is the day the decorations usually get taken down

Jon, yep that's the one.
GW, it doesn't have icing, but I did creatively make a Christmas tree and stars on top with sugar. I do have whipped cream to go with that though *hands out cake*

So for TODAY'S random surprise....
I remembered the name of a friend I had back... probably 10-12 years ago. So I looked on facebook, saw someone who might be him, and I thought I'd google him to see if I could figure out if it was really him or not. I didn't find HIM on google, but my efforts were somewhat... shall we say.... pulled up short. It turns out he has the same real name as the stage name of.... drum roll please..... a gay porn star. I desisted from searching, and turned my google safe-browsing options back to maximum security. |

I just watched this bit stunk (=him stoned, me drunk) with my brother, and it's HILARIOUS.

Fry and Laurie are a delight even when you're not 'stunk'
Btw Gwai, I like that relatively new avatar of yours!

Right thing to do. Although I probably would have gone the same route if I had I thought I had found an old friend. Too bad it wasn't really him

"And we're back on M.O.O.T. 102.2 with the Moots playing this ABBA classic for all ye Mooters. and from all of us here the station: WISH YOU A HAPPY NEW MOOT YEAR!"
No more champagne And the fireworks are through Here we are, me and you Feeling lost and feeling blue It’s the end of the party And the morning seems so grey So unlike yesterday Now’s the time for us to say... Happy Moot year Happy Moot year May we all have a vision now and then Of a world where every neighbour is a friend Happy Moot year Happy Moot year May we all have our hopes, our will to try If we don’t we might as well lay down and die You and i Sometimes I see How the brave Moot world arrives And I see how it thrives In the ashes of our lives Oh yes, man is a fool And he thinks he’ll be okay Dragging on, feet of clay Never knowing he’s astray Keeps on going anyway... Happy Moot year Happy Moot year May we all have a vision now and then Of a world where every neighbour is a friend Happy Moot year Happy Moot year May we all have our hopes, our will to try If we don’t we might as well lay down and die You and i Seems to me now That the dreams we had before Are all dead, nothing more Than confetti on the floor It’s the end of a decade In another ten years time Who can say what we’ll find What lies waiting down the line In the end of eighty-nine... Happy Moot year Happy Moot year May we all have a vision now and then Of a world where every neighbour is a friend Happy Moot year Happy Moot year May we all have our hopes, our will to try If we don’t we might as well lay down and die You and i http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dcLMH8pwusw |
