None of the candidates have given any campaign speeches yet. This is going to take time and there has to be a better platform for it than in this chaotic thread.

FF go back a few posts or a page and you will see who the Tolkien poster is. I don't see the point in involving Tolkien. we already know that this board is devoted to him and that he is the god of Entmoot. He does not need to be recognized in a lowly way as president, or anything. He is #1and all of us know that.

the title of honorary president would add to tolkien's recognition and make him more powerful (if he is ever reincarnated that is) it wouldnt take away from his popularity or recognition!

cant i have a useless job where i dont do anything but look important

I think it's a great idea! I think the person who is elected should be the regent who operates on behalf of Tolkien.

Maybe it would be best to leave Tolkien out of the presidential elections, he is after all, British. And as SGH said, the "God" of the board. Making him prez might insult him.
